I have yet to learn how to color in such odd ways. Is there a tutorial on shading in different hues like that hand? I usually just drop the luminosity when shading but I've noticed in pixel art (mainly trees) shadows change colors as well as brightness.
Nice extra work to the hand BTW.

Using a limited palette helps with that, when doing so, you try to use a single color in as many places as possible. If what you're doing uses just a few browns/yellows/whateverthatcoloriss then just try to experiment with various colors. You can mix your main color with gray and drop luminosity for shading, for example.

The guy seems a little lanky, and the rocks in general need a little bit more contrast to make them seem rocky. Love it otherwise!
