The game is amazing and i could play it fifty years from now and stil love it! the levels are so well thoght out and fun and the music is better than most games's music that are out today. the chao garden is one of my fav parts to cause you can spend HOURS caring for them and loving them. its like raising a baby that is sonic's and mine and even can look like him like my fav one does (he has my eyes though >_<) On the subject of sonic, I have to agree with Yahtzee. Sonic has had his day, and it really has come and gone. The Sonic franchise really just needs to be put down by now.

Other than that, I usually get fed up with games pretty quickly. Modding is the only thing keeping me to CC. I've been playing Clonk for an embarrassingly long time, I suppose. Edit: and yeah, I'd still be playing starcraft if the level editor worked for OSX. OH! Also - Giants: Citizen Kabuto Sacrifice

Could you please explain? I have that game and it's not very fun for me. Funny as hell, and at the time it had really innovative gameplay features. But this is the "won't let go" thread, so that won't hold. The base building within a first person shooter thing is really well done, for one. Have you tried the multiplayer? Wonder if it exists anymore... but yeah, it was amazing. One person would play as Kabuto, and a number of others would either be Mercs or Sea Reapers. Something about the inherent unbalance between a merc/reaper vs Kabuto made it incredibly fun. More balanced if more people playing. Again though, this doesn't support that it's a "won't let go" game since I obviously don't play the multiplayer. Just a funny game then, I suppose. Edit: ALSO, Star Control 2 is a fantastic game that I've been absolutely addicted to recently. It's not really a "won't let go" thing because I've only been playing for about a week, but it is FAN-TASTIC and I recommend it very highly. It's free!

WoW has been going for five or so years and I'm still playing it. I guess that counts.
