Re: Art Dump
I've been spriting a Space marine Chaplain from the "Angry Marines" Chapter. I'll add all the angry after I get the basic form done. I just want to get it done, and get the color scheme right. (Angry Marines wear Red and Yellow with an angry face emblem. Chaplains often wear black, but they have their shoulder pads adorned with their Chapters colors.) For those not familiar with Warhammer 40,000, a chapter is a unit of 1,000 Space Marines with its own colors, culture and tactics/ specialty. For example, the White Scars are White and Red, and they ride motorcycles and have Mongolian style weapons and armor.

Re: Art Dump
That's something I never understood about Warhammer (and various other universes). Didn't the mechs, machine guns, and flame throwers just stop all over the mongolian-style dudes? Or were they just the "show army" that never actually fought? You know, the dudes that went to all the parades with their fancy mongol motorbikes Not offtopic, my art: It speaks to the duality of mankind

Re: Art Dump
The "Mongols" are Space Marines; they have Powered Armor, heavily armored attack bikes, and plenty of futuristic weaponry. Swords came back into style the moment they gained an energy field that allowed them to cut through any type of armor, even that of a tank or mech walker. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/White_ScarsBasically, war was redesigned in 40k by the amount of power armor and close quarters combat. A modern gun wouldn't do a thing to a Space Marine. However, a power sword could tear his arm off like a knife through hot butter.

Don't forget the chainswords, automatic rocket launchers used as assault rifles, plasma guns which usually kill the user, and invincible, dog-headed 3-meter tall battlesuits. Also, the armored walking coffins.

MLC, i noticed on pixelation that your avatar planet thing isnt actually very circular, and i think it detracts from the composition of the image.

Yeah, I think its fine. The top is the north pole, therefore ice. There are mountains disrupting the outline, if that is what you mean. Those are intentional. Anyhow, Start: Finish: Yeah, I'm pretty happy.
