Just did a bit of research. Turns out that the plague doctor mask was venetian.
This is one of those great arguments where both parties are correct.

Apologies for the commercial site, but it's got all the info there!

Wow, that was a pleasant argument, thanks for the info.

I had another Unit update coming along but the sprite is ♥♥♥♥ terrible.

Anyone know if you can add Attachables, like armor, to legs? I know you can't do it to weapons.

Edit:

Using the Inis, of course.

Double Edit:

OP Updates with a pic.

Armor to the legs doesn't work too well, it keeps its position while the actor crouches and it kind of ends up floating while crawling. But to answer your question, simply add an attachable to the leg. Also, yes, you can add armor to weapons, same deal: attachables. Granted, they'll be purely cosmetic, but still.
Also, new Plague Bringer looks awesome.

It is perfectly possible to add working armour attachables to legs and weapons, which will rotate and move correctly to accommodate for leg/weapon movement. These will be fully functional armour as long as they are properly coded; this including weapon attachables.
However, adding attachables to arms will result in said attachables rotating with the aim of the actor, looking quite terrible if the armour is not a set of perfect circles.

There's actually a way of forcing shinguards to not keep their position when the actor crouches? They do, indeed work very nicely when the actor walks, but they look weird when the actor drops down. So at the risk of hijacking this thread, I'm very interested in fixing this as well. For... err... personal use. Can it be done?

Has working leg armour, but was from an older build and may no longer work.
Also, on another note, it appears .png are no longer accepted by the forum uploader.

Working in the sense that the armor doesn't lag behind or that it doesn't keep it's vertical position in relation to the leg?

For fielding units, it doesn't need to be spawning pods.

It could be a system that allows you to do carpet bombing with soldiers. Like paratroopers or personal droppods, dropped from dropships in a high altitude.

It stays with the leg perfectly as long as the offsets are right. Try the mod.

Oh snap. I turn my back for 13 hours and all of this happens.

For armor plating, I think I'll just stick to chest plates now and try to increase joint strength/gib limit for arms and legs. It won't save on damage but that'll prevent them from being lost so easily, right? I'll take a look at that mod, add it to my list in my notes. I'm trying not to crib off of other people's work as much as possible, but when I do snag a piece of code or whatever I'll be sure to credit appropriately.

As for getting more than one unit in, I was thinking something like the crab pod resprited to look like a warped teleporter? Which Firefox doesn't think is a real word apparently. Anyway, carpet bombing soldiers works too. I saw the Paratrooper mod but isn't it having some problems? Or am I just being a big dumb guy? I'd love to have some kind of old-school means to get these guys in, as it would match the theme pretty well.

And thank you. I like how the sprite turned out as well. There were some other things I wanted to add, but it just looked cluttered that way...

Edit:

OP updated with some weapons.

Not true. Armour on arms doesn't work, but I have quite successfully armoured up legs.
Don't want to self promote, but my Oyster robot from a couple of builds back did it just fine.

Also, new plague doctor looks awesome! Best new actor to come out for awhile now.

Thanks. I'm going to be putting in some more actors soon, maybe I'll manage to top that.

Not likely, but maybe.

OP updated with a change of goals; working on the Post Apocalyptic theme now.

I'm back, by the way, in case you couldn't tell.

Why thank you, Raw Toast.

It's difficult matching Prom's shading and outline style, since, apparently, he draws big and re-sizes (which I found out in your thread, har har), so I'm hoping I can at least be good until I get the style down.

As for the sudden change, I just got to thinking on my little vacation, and I'm going to stick with this particular theme for now, the Plague one.

I've still got the sprites for some of the Eldritch guys I was working on, so I'll probably make those into their own faction later, but right now it's all about the scavenged tech, baby.

Sprited a Dragunov SVD and an STG/MP 44, working on an RPD SW right now. Just a little update on what I'm doing is all.

Edit:

OP updated with new weapons.

Only two left to cross off my current list: A RPG and some kind of pistol, possibly a Webley or a U.S. Army Special.
