About how high would the average, Joe-Coalition be in pixels? I just need a number for reference and so I can start actually spriting something.

The light coalition dude would be around 42 pixels in height, if I remember well. Admitting he is around 1.80 meters tall, that would mean a ratio of around 4 cm per pixel, that is, 25 ppm (Pixels Per Meter). I could go around converting these values to inches, decimeters, miles and so on, but that would be an even greater waste of time than searching how tall an alien clone is and converting it to pixels and centimeters. Too much free time, that's what I call it.

they are super soldiers after all i suppose, however i think the PPM needs to be adjusted up. otherwise my zombies are also >2m tall, as are vanilla zombies and the ronin.

And then we would have balancing issues, as all of the velocities in the entire game would be increased.

Just sprite the size of objects in proportion to vanilla content.

Yeah, that's what I do anyway. Its just a shame the RTE thinks all our guys are 2+ meters tall.

The taller height could be attributed to them grown on low-gravity environments... the game is set in the future you know.

Yes, crazily tall enough to get their head blown off by a well-placed heavy sniper round...
I think a low/micro gravity environment is more plausible, but as for the dummies and robots...

Yeah, or maybe to be crazy tall as part of just generally larger and more powerful. if you're getting sniped at, its not like the sniper is going to miss your head weather it's 3cm up or down in the current landscape of CC: open fields, rolling hills, inter-dispersed with random rocky outcrops.
I think it's more likely that Prom wasnt too worried about the PPM ratio when he was spriting actors, he just figured they looked better that way.

The enormous heads of the actors surely contribute to their height as well. If you were to shrink a Coalition's head to a normal size, he'd end up being around those magical 180 cm. I mean, seriously, if we go by the current pixels-per-meter, their heads are 65 cm tall and 60 cm wide/long. If we were to cut the height to a moderate 35 cm, then he'd already be 180 cm tall, with an unusually broad head.
