Re: Infecting Zombies
Yeah.. Im really bad at scripting so forgive me for the following. So I tried to make my generator work with the infecting zombies, this is what I got. In the Infection.rte folder I put in a folder called Generator and in there put in Generator.ini which contained this code: Code: AddEffect = AEmitter CopyOf = Zombie Generator PresetName = Zombie Generator Buyable = 1 AddToGroup = Actors GoldValue = 500 EmissionEnabled = 1 AddEmission = Emission EmittedParticle = AHuman CopyOf = Infected Zombie Team = -1 And in Index.ini in the Infection folder I just added Code: IncludeFile = Infection.rte/Generator/Generator.ini to it so, you know, it would recognize it. However when I attempted to start CC I got an error saying that there was a problem with the very first line in Generator.ini.... I know this is Mod Releases not Mod Making but, I would like to see if I could make this work So, putting aside that very very obvious fact that I suck at scripting, could anyone help point me in the right direction? Would be much appriciated.

Crazy Mike wrote: Hey, whenever a zombie infects a dude the game crashes! Can anyone help me with this bug?!.......Please? Nice, someone with a semi-valid reason to necro a thread, that's rare... Anyways, the lua of this mod is pretty tempramental, try looking in the scene releases section for the zombie cyborg invasion scene instead, since the zombies that come with it have a version of this script that doesn't crash as often as this one(for me, that is) Or you could look up that lua mod pack... forgot the damn name, but it contains some working infectionous zombies

Re: Infecting Zombies
You know this is an old ass mod that that hs been outdated by one notable mod, but the only option is to update, and leave this template level mod behind.
I doubt anyone is going to help you with this, I mean there are better versions of this mod.

Re: Infecting Zombies
I still use Cyborg Zombies as my main activities, and they're really tough because of how easily the infection spreads, the fact that infected units spawn two zombies, the zombies blend well with terrain debris when they're ducked low and aren't moving, they have regenerating health can can really take a beating before they actually die, and they have powerful shotguns that they get when they spawn. And even if you use your own cyborg zombie to infect the computer, the resulting zombies wont be under your control and you end up making an entire zombie faction that overpowers you and the CP easily. One of the few things that really helps is that the infection goes away if you can heal your health back to 100 before it drains away.
Keep these things in mind when designing and updating your zombies and their infection. Will they infect purely by contact and become a really huge problem quickly like the cyborg Zombies? Or will they work more like Zombies 09 and have a weapon that manually infects? Is there a way to cure the infection? Medical drones and the cauterizer gun really helped against the Cyborg Zombie mod, what about yours? Is there a weight limit so that they can't infect dropships? Any lua abilities apart from infection?
Try to learn from Cyborg Zombies while also making this unique to Cyborg Zombies. More infection types are always a good thing. You would not believe how much fun Co-op multiplayer is in this game when you and a friend are defending a base from Zombie 09 CPU and a cyborg zombie infection that you started and failed to prevent from growing out of control. That was my Sunday actually. It was the most fun I've had with this game since the telekinetic and teleporting coalition.

If you don't want to be ass raped by a zerg queen with a shotgun, then use the descendant of this mod. No, this mod is done, no development, no more growth. Zombies '09 had it's infectious gas disabled until geti can get it correct, it seems that you can only get infected by getting clawed to death, or getting raped by a green gas grenade! No. He hasn't made it yet, and yes there is a way. Oh, and, if you want the infected to turn into random types of zombies, you are going to need to ♥♥♥♥ with geti's spawn randomization code. TL;DR The development on this has stopped, if you want it to improve, you are going to have to merge the mod's code with the code of geti's Zombies '09, and then go on from there and make it better with your own hands.

Re: Infecting Zombies
It sounds like he has it already. But yeah, if you're using windows default extractor get 7Zip or Winrar. If you already have one or the other say so more clearly.
