   |   iPhone GamesOK, two birds/one stone deal.
Phase one: The damned clerk at Vodafone managed to convince me that buying an iPhone instead of a dirt-cheap, 3G-what's-that Nokia and a tablet PC was a better idea (Whoo extra six-hundred) so now I have a fancy new 32GB iPhone...thing. I took a look at the shrine of (apparent) mediocrity that was the App Store and instantly found myself way out of my league. I was wondering if any other users out there could point me in the direction of: (Money is no trouble)

 A good to-do list/organiser
 Some decent games
Some basic reference tools (Dictionaries, encyclopaedias)
 Utilities (Converters and so on)

And really any other stuff that you could recommend that is either a) brutally practical and mind-bogglingly useful or, and this is a harder on, b) something which is such fun and contains such replay value/re-usability that it would be remiss of me not to have it.

Phase two: Chat about the games on the thing. Or the store in general. Personally, I'd go through the place like Yahweh over Egypt and cull the ♥♥♥♥ out of the place. Prune back half of the stuff there with brutal practicality approaching Soviet levels.

   |   Re: iPhone GamesYou wanted a Nokia?I'm not really an Apple fan or anything but I'd rather buy a 3GS iPhone any day.

I'd start with Spore origins as a game.
Spore itself was disappointing but Spore origins isan expanded version of the cell stage.
 Fun stuff.
There was a fun shooting game called... Space Dead Beef?
There is also Tap Tap Revenge, butI didn't think it was all that great.
Well, anyway, there's a tip calculator, that is always useful.
If you go out a lot 'Have to Pee' is also very useful.
Everything else I don't really remember.

Also, get BargainHunter. It is a utility app that keeps track of price changes to applications allowing you to find out when pay-for apps become free or on sale. Great for finding apps you would usually ignore because they are not free.

What? I'd sure like a zoom feature. Also, Geodefense Swarm seems like a pretty in depth tower defense game even though its pretty hard.
