2. Gold digging is very slow.

I keep seeing people say gold digging is slow. Are you guys using the light digger or something? Seriously, just set up your base with a mining shaft over a huge deposit of gold and go to town. Even with the horribad digging AI it still works. Yeesh, come on now guys.

Go-To AI mode is the way to dig.


Also, yes digging will take forever if you actually use the Gold Dig AI mode and watch them wave it around in the air.

this can prove realy good for your case...
it is fairly balanced (it can be hit and destroyed) so have fun.

I generally dislike any of the alternative solutions that don't use lua, because they're unreliable.

What exactly do you mean? The ones not using lua usually use some sort of emitter or something, that emitter just stops at some point, it's quite annoying.

I would believe that a mixture of the two would be most optimal. That way you can shoot it and get gold for the invaders, yet it wouldn't run out after a while.

You would just need to set the emitter age to 0 or whatever it was.
But yes, that sounds correct.

Maybe the next mod contest should be gold generators to get people to make these ideas and come up with new ones.

Sure, gold digging is slow... But gold digging = CC. End of question, it is one of the KEY factors that makes CC what it is.

I made a small gem mod, just 2 gems, you can put them in scenes, or include them in activities. They give a small amount of gold, as is.

I'd prefer it like the reject method, get near a valuable item, you automatically pick it up, gives you gold, and leaves your inventory.
Grabbing it in the air is moderately hard, but it doable, just get near it.

Okay, the 'pick up' thing is an actor control behavior., I'll find the behavior string, and you'll find out what the name of the behavior is.
