So recently I had some trouble with mods. I have downloaded mods before, and yes they have worked. The ones I'm having with are for the current build, and I just don't know whats happening. I have WinRAR.
But for some reason when i download them off this site, instead of coming up on the desktop as a file with a zipper, it's a page with a little window in it, like when you save MS Paint files or something to it.
Anybody know whats going on--or how I can fix it?

PS. When I tried to just plain open the files, it said something about needing to find the maker of the file or something. If you need me to I can investigate into that more.

You've messed up your file associations somehow. I assume you're on Windows? Right click on it and select the submenu option "Open with...". If you can select WinRAR, select that. If WinRAR is not listed, select "Choose Default Program..." which should be the first or last option in that menu. Browse the list it comes up with for WinRAR, and make sure "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" is checked.

I figured by 'Open with' you just meant Open, cause theres no Open with option for me.
So when I clicked open, this came up:
Basically it said that Windows needs to know who made it. It said it can go online automatically or I can manually select it from a list of programs on you're computer.

Manually select, for WinRAR.

Alrite, did that, now has the winRaR symbol on it. but it still doesn't have the option extract all in the right click menu.
And when I open it it takes me to the installation screen for winRar. Which I have done about 3 times now.
