Hello folks :grin:
(this is my first mod here, so i mind as well make it a good one.)
ever wanted a HUGE turret that can fling 5 ton shells at 70 mph realy ♥♥♥♥ fast? well know you can have one! for only 1000 oz!

Originally designed to take down trade star class ships in order work as part of a planetary defense system, our turret gets the job done against dropships, infantry, tanks, mechs, rockets, and almost any other killing machine you through at it! But why hear me talk :-o when you can download the mod yourself!

MeGaUpDaTe!
Shells are smaller and bullet-shaped!
shells leave trail of smoke and fire!
1 well aimed shell can take out two mechs!
imagine what its does to zombies!

It seems like the concept is there, but the sprites detract from that concept... I suggest you quickly sprite the thing before more fire comes in.

okay. sorry, my spriting is pretty horrible. i can code okay, however. here, ill try to fix it.

This forum's definition of "a good one" usually involves loads o' balance and all that. A gun which is meant to "take down trade star class ships" for 100bux is usually not considered balanced. Probably not relative to the vanilla content at least.

Interesting idea, but you might want to throw a check in there. Increase the price, or make it have a weak spot, or fire really slowly and have a weak spot. Y'know, that kind of thing.

Also, it looks like it is made of doors. Not bad for a first mod perhaps, but you might want to add some more to make it unique.

Also, it shoots doors? Back on the whole balance thing, there.

Still, if you can, make it better, and post ye improved version for great justice. Then again, I guess that if you like killing people with discount doors, this mod is pretty much ideal at the moment. And then again, I'm just pointing out some immediate obvious flaws, so it might possibly be the best thing ever, and I just don't know it yet.

Edit: Also, I started writing this before DS posted. Slow and all that, with a possible dash of ninja'd.

Though, its pretty interesting that the Mod Releases is extremely populated with experienced modder creations. So these newbie creations are extremely rare and few between. Should start as a guideline for what players expect.

Get some concept art down for this cannon =_-;

I doubt it's balanced with respect to GODDAMN corp either.

As others have said, either get yourself a spriter or do the sprites yourself. I would recommend trawling through the various sprite rip sites if you want to do it yourself, it helps a lot to develop a style and examples can help you establish that.

@DSKM2: Newbies learn very quickly to act like experienced modders, that's why :D

Fixed it a bit and updated the op. i have to get off now, so i can only do a quick fix for tonight. i can do some art in school.

also i adjusted the price and backstory:
they are 1000 oz now, not 100. and battery's of hundreds of them in are able to attack tradestar size ships, not just one of them. and, also, i changed the material, they still have great attack, but a few vanilla bombs can take them out now.

If the sprite in the OP is the new one, then redefine your definition of improved. That thing is uglier than Sin.

I know almost zero about coding or, for that matter, spriting.
But I'd be happy to make some sprites. Just tell me, what parts are independant, (i.e. can there be one whole sprite for the body and one for the barrel?) and what theme? (e.g. Is it Dummy? Tradestar? Coalition?)

On the other hand, if you've made a better sprite, can you update the screenie?
