   |   ArmA III'm sure that at least somebody on DRL has it. If not, it's a fantastic continuation of a military simulator series made by Ukrainian developer Bohemia Interactive.http://www.arma2.com/ We should get a few people on DRL together to try and fail some missions.

   |   Re: ArmA III'm a fan, I even have a few missions of my own. Pretty tough though, needs a team of at least 4, hopefully 8.
Yeah maybe we can just keep respawning.

   |   Re: ArmA III think someone made a topic on this once already, or was that on another forum?
Sound like a good game though. A bit too realistic for casual play.

(overly casual players usually don't take wind into account)There are some playmodes where you respawn quickly, close to the action, and can pick up any number of assault weapons to take out the badguys. You don't have to "take wind into account" unless you are being leet sniporz. I think it's really fun to fly the transport helicopters, personally. It's like a flying death star with all the MGs on the doors.

   |   Re: ArmA IIThe whole play-way look interesting but where's the weapon variety?check the CombatArms armory for example... not 5 MGs and 8 missile launchers...
 that proportion its ridiculous...

also, no submachineguns? and I gonna pay for this? sure sure... keep waiting...

   |   Re: ArmA IIoops gta 4 doesnt need a lot of weapons, because it has VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER, and its not really an army game, is it? oops little big planet isnt about fighting, so why would you have guns??? Arma 2 has only 29 guns (discounting mounted stuff etc...) which is not an awful lot for a fighting game, and sure you can get variants, but that is like combat arms, where they never release new stuff, just variants of the old but apart from that sounds kinda cool, but im p00rez and mah intornets sucks,

   |   Re: ArmA IIhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mo ... ted_Statesman when an entire country's list is fifty eight whole weapons (edit: that's counting most mounted weaponry, and several weapons that aren't actually used at all and were only prototypes, nonexistent, or have been removed from service) 29 sure is underrepresenting especially since about thirty of those fifty are "variants" or weapons that perform the exact same functions tell me naxx, do you actually know how many modern militaries use submachine guns regularly? PDWs maybe, but SMGs are for dirtpoor nations fighting urban insurgencies

   |   Re: ArmA II[sorry about offtopic]First of all, a war game without weapons variety works like a car without wheels, also, I'm not talking about loling games like little big planet or spore, I'm talking about WAR games. I don't care about how many of them are used in actuality, Heckler & Koch knows how things are done. Submachine guns were very useful in their terrible fight against Baader-Meinhof, the proof its they're done today. And I mean with variety things like combat arms weaponry 12 smgs, 22 rifles of assault, 6 mgs, 11 snipers and 15 handguns without count melee weapons or special devices

   |   Re: ArmA II"rifles of assault"
Also you forget that half of those "rifles of assault" are camo versions of existing weapons.
