Olympics
I had an idea for an event, an olympics-type thing. we could have people participate in events using vanilla, or popular mod content. Like, a cricket mod pack fridge toss, a race through an obstacle course, stuff like that. We could have the participants use like, hypercam, or somesuch, and post videos of their best scores. Does anyone else feel this would be fun? edit: I thought of some more. A highdive type event, into a pile of sand, judged on form, and damage, a(somewhat sillier) crab stomping contest, stuff like that. edit once again: I don't know much about modding actors(I know a little about gib limits, but thats it), but I figure, a full ronin character set, with jumps instead of jetpacks would be the ideal actor set for this event.

Re: Olympics
I guess it sounds feasible, I think archery would be fun like this but people could alter the vanila content before they record, and it would need more people willing to keep everything together and host the competitions. Other than this it sounds like a good idea.

People did that with the zombie cave. First it was No damage starting stuff only FD
Then people did insane rocket only speedruns.

Then people did insane rocket only speedruns. I did a forty second run with no mods, without buying anything, and no damage to the brain, pistol, chip, or rocket. The rocket entry is more fun and crazy certainly, but I don't think it would be any faster. The rocket can't traverse the cave nearly as fast as the brainbot. Dealing with a second rocket (ordering, landing, opening) would probably take up more time than what you save by getting to/in the cave at rocket speed, and no damage/no purchasing has a more ideal ending funds. Of course when the vanilla jetpacks get nerfed this will be impossible, but for now I challenge anyone to do better. Conditions: Zombie Cave Speedrun, no mods may be used, anything you buy must be returned without being damaged. Device/armor wounds count as damage. I've never had good luck with recording devices, but I'll try to record a run at some point. Since I have no proof at this point, my claim of forty seconds is invalid, but it's just a reference of what you're up against.

Re: Olympics
Sounds fun. I challenge someone to surf off the three zombies infront of the cave with the rocket.(meaning: Landing on them at high speed and surviving) in the least time. I'll have to record a video for it to make total sense.

And then Grif made me the Rocket Silo... I just went nuts with it! While I'm here, I'm also going to contest that I am the best shot here with the revolver cannon. In fact...give me some ideas for trick shots! There's a lot that could be done with this gun.

I'll see what kind of magic I can work. May be more than likely sever a limb, but the rest will go through. Give me a little time though; setup, school work, etc. Also, how'd you like my rocket flying?

Re: Olympics
The gif was pretty good. Revolver cannon is definitely the best vanilla gun in CC. A bit more fun before it exploded though.
As for this Olympics idea, why not combine it with a mod contest? Whoever can get a personally modded, jetpackless actor through a standardized obstacle course in the least amount of time wins.

Re: Olympics
That sounds like a sweet idea, I would be willing to test such a course, if it were to come out. I don't really mod, so I'd be the control, basically.
