ATTN: MS Paint in Windows 7
A warning for people who use MS Paint to make their sprites and are getting Windows 7:
MS Paint has been given an update. It has changed to look like the newer versions of Microsoft Office. It has been given new GUI and all that good stuff. BUT... MS Paint does NOT keep your sprites in the palette. You can change the colors, have it look perfectly fine, but then see a ♥♥♥♥ up sprite in game.
When it saves, it does NOT keep the palette.
I don't know if there is a way around this or not. Just throwing this out there.
Also, if this belongs somewhere else, move it.

Re: ATTN: MS Paint in Windows 7
yeah, i noticed this too. using photoshop to cut out sprites takes ♥♥♥♥ ages, especially when my PS is having a hissy fit and not saving stuff properly. <_< i should go and grab the vista version of paint just so i can speed up the process every now and again.

Re: ATTN: MS Paint in Windows 7
yeah this really pissed me off when I first started using win7 new ms paint is a POS, the cursors are a few pixels off which makes the bucket tool very annoying and it totally ignores palette... the new default colours are very nice though, and although I'm never going to use them, the two paintbrush textures and the first calligraphy pen brush look really nice, but as I said they aren't ever going to get used.

It's the silliest thing to try to make good 'ol Paint into a miniature clone of photoshop like they did, way to go Microsoft.
