ATTN: Fog of war in B24
Prom says so. Source: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showth ... 457&page=9"...some fossils we're adding into Cortex Command along with an interesting reveal map (black RTS fog (not gray))." thanks for the conceptart link whoever posted it, this makes B24 even better. it would also be nice if presets became more permanent, i suppose.

Sounds hawt.
And laggy, though I suppose they would figure out a solution to this. Too bad you need an account to view the forums.

Re: ATTN: Fog of war in B24
why would it be laggy? its going to be done in engine, and in the current luadocs there is already "seerays" and checks for if a team has seen an area. it seems like it should be about as laggy as the HUD. then again, we are talking about CC here..

If done the right way, it might reduce some lag. Replace drawn things with plain black and all. It probably won't though.

Just looked through that thread. Prom loves drawing anime-y girls in thongs. Oh, and the fossils look crazy awesome. We can only hope that not ALL of them are extinct.

Also, for all you people thinking "DATA R NUT CRAE ABUT HIS COMUNITY" he did not forget the promise he made about posting some of the new features on the dev log, you will get a feature list thing in the next week or so.

Re: ATTN: Fog of war in B24
Completely black fog O' war?
Wish there'd be gray FOW covering explored areas instead of black ones. Or else it would be like being in the middle of nowhere for the entire game.

Re: ATTN: Fog of war in B24
Based on the lua docs, I'd say there's only FoW in unexplored areas.
