Playstation 3 port for internets
Hey there, I'm sure it's been said 10 bazillion times, but what with the ps3's cell processor and controller design, this game would totally rock a large lcd screen :/
*sob* please don't ban me :O
I'm gonna offer all my internets to sony in trade of devpack handouts and psn port possibilities

Re: Playstation 3 port for internets
so wait, you want datarealms to port CC to the ps3? and then you want them to add the net play that they have stated explicitly they will not implement? in return for this, you offer "internets"? srsly?

If Data makes this (he won't) and you give him all of your internets, how will you download it to play it on your PS3? 0: You won't have any internets left.

Re: Playstation 3 port for internets
He would have to rent or borrow someone else's internets. And he wouldn't be able to take advantage of whatever online capability Data might implement.

Re: Playstation 3 port for internets
well if datarealms does put cc onto consoles like the 360 and ps3(and/or steam) then they will definately make a big fanbase and lots of monies(more important than your internets) but i strongly doubt it would have online play. i doubt that this will happen but you never know!

Re: Playstation 3 port for internets
I think the first big question before we talk about online play at all on consoles is "would data be assed to port it?". Remember, he didn't port it to Mac, he hired someone to do it.

Re: Playstation 3 port for internets
RAM could be an issue on consoles. and porting sounds about as likely as B24 tommorow.

RAM would be an issue on consoles.
So would CPU performance. MYSTICAL MAGICAL OMEGA COOL cell processor or no, it's actually pretty inefficient and would require way, way, way too much work to compile on a PS3. Even assuming you can distribute through Sony a C++ game that requires the Allegro library.

Re: Playstation 3 port for internets
I play CC on my large LCD screen using a VGA Cable from my computer.
Chances are, your TV has a VGA Port if it's advertised as one of those "HDTV LCD" thingamawhatzits.
And the cables you can get from your neighborhood electronics store.

Geti wrote: RAM could be an issue on consoles. Yup. People think the 360 and PS3 (especially the latter) are processing beasts, and while they have amazingly fast and efficient speed due to their design, they've only got 512MB of RAM (About the same as the average PC from 2005) PSN and XBLA are pretty viable ways of getting the game out, theoretically, but porting it would be hell on Earth, and then some.
