Hypothetical Multiplayer
Take a moment and imagine yourself in a lag-free paradise. Computers run everything and anything at the speed of infinity. Data Realms has a crapload of money. In other words, a perfect world.
Now that you are in this world, let us brainstorm; dream, if you will. Data Realms has decided to take up online multiplayer, and needs your help. What sort of functionality for the buy system would be added? What sort of general interface adjustments would be needed?
Remember, this is a hypothetical scenario.

And that's why he said IMAGINE multiplayer gameplay? You may sa~aay I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one... Ok, went crazy. The first thing I want aside from multiplayer missions, would be brain wrestling competitions.

Re: Hypothetical Multiplayer
I want for us to be able to jack in directly and command every soldier I have in my team by brain power only. Then we can wage wars the way CC is supposed to.

Re: Hypothetical Multiplayer
i've been working up the motivation to make a multiplayer-esque CC script using luasocket, but bleh.
in multiplayer CC, best things to do would be CTF and Team DM. non team DM could also be done, and would be nice and light on lag with the low actor count. it would be pretty epic fun with BW (possibly with some balancing and edits).

Re: Hypothetical Multiplayer
well, if i have the time this weekend ill pester you on irc for your IP and set up some socket stuff and see if we cant get some actors running around. multiplayer CC is much more fun, so it would be nice if everyone could experience it.

Re: Hypothetical Multiplayer
I think it would be fun to have a survival mode, where you all are on a single team and you build a fort. Then, the onslaught begins. You would decide what type of onslaught there would be, such as Zombies, Dummies, Ronin, etc.
Also, wrasslin' would be hella fun. I can see it now. Your mouse controls your arms, and you could outfit it with different parts, such as a buzzsaw, sword, spear, etc.

More specifically, this. Also, Green Clone plush would be a great addition to the Data Realms merchandise catalog in this scenario.

Re: Hypothetical Multiplayer
Well, the OnLive closed beta started a day or two ago.
If Data made an agreement with OnLive, like 2DBoy did for their World of Goo, then CC online is easily feasible.
