   |   Re: Discussion: best RTS game.Your acronyms suck and annoy me. It takes on average about 3 more seconds to write Company of Heroes even when you make a typo. The Fat Sand Rat wrote: I haven't liked an RTS since Age of Kings, which I mostly played by getting the car-cheat-thing cheats make me sad. but i suppose winning against 7 hard bots on a team would make you sad, so its a stalemate <_< I agree that its an awesome game though. still play it occasionally.

The AoE series was fun and minorly educational (though, honestly, studying the middle ages turns out to be quite boring, considering that there was absolutely no progress technology-wise for a good long while there), but not the best.

agreed

   |   Re: Discussion: best RTS game.Total annihilation: Kingdoms is one of my favorites, if I can find someone else to play. Another one I dig is homeworld 1, 2 is nice too. But they are merely fun, and I never seriously pondered on if they were good or not. I'm not that good at RTS games.

   |   Re: Discussion: best RTS game.Homeworld is... Unique. Real 3d combat isn't seen that often. The story is really good, but the game is just so hard I can't get past the 7th or so mission. The one with the traders and soon after that the raiders.

Homeworld 2 kind of ruined it all a lil bit, I mean no fuel and there was hardly even a need for frigates. Just vomit bombers and corvettes until you can spam game ending cruisers.

It's just the best. I play it with my friend almost every week. Our best game was something like me and my friend vs. 4 moderates. And we killed them.

All you need to do is build up a gigantic horde of turrets and start building every kind of ship you have.
