Whatever you do to the flag, can you keep the original hand held ones just for fun? They are great addition to regular skirmish games. Coz charging towards the enemy is always more hotblooded when holding a flag.

This really needs AI, maybe like in clone soccer, where they go for the target whether they are player controlled or not, but they still have the option of being controlled.
Other than that, really brought me back to the unreal tournament days.

Until a future build lets me improve this map with less hacky features, this is probably going to remain without updates.

Yeah, you had some big problems with this back then, because I was new, and didn't know beans about making my own Rte folders.
I hate looking back at my retarded posts.
Regardless, I hope you enjoy the new version.
If my development time ever falls to this again, I may make big custom sprites for each tower to make it even more true to UT 99.

Re: Facing Worlds - Version 2.00 RELEASED! - UPDATED 6-25-09
Sorry for double post, but: A UT99 themed mod is going to be my next undertaking, and thus this Scene will definitely get an overhaul and cross-examination. Possibly find better workarounds for the features in place, more original sprites, etc. So, on the drawing board: Sprites for Towers UT99 Weapons (Sans Translocator since CaveCricket did a great job with his) UT99 Actors In Red and Green Team colors(Generic M/F Commando, Generic M/F Soldier, M/F Necris, Boss, anything else I think of) More UT99 Maps (Lava Giant looks like a good next, but maybe I'll do a more simple one) All will have directly ripped and authentic sounds for a more genuine feel. I have already finished one actor from UT99, the Female Commando, complete with hair that looks nice! (After "10 seconds" of Lua help from Grif). Pictures later. EDIT: Female Commando done:

if you can tell me some weapons you need done, and send me pics, I might be able to sprite them.

The only help I'll need on any of this will be coding. I'll be spriting everything myself.

mod is looking excellent so far. Thanks for that. I'd like to think I'm far different from back then. Also, minor update on progress. Got roughs of the first 3 guns I'm spriting: Bio Rifle, ASMD Shock Rifle, and Pulse Gun, along with the first workings of the Male Soldier Model: Note that the above screenshot is a slightly outdated version of what I have. The new ones are smaller to fit the actors properly, and lighter (I made them way too dark). And here's a better screen of the Male soldier complete with the 4 recolors I've done for the torso for the 4 Team colors (including a 5th neutral color and the 6th being the original sprite): The above actor that I'm trying to recreate as he appears in UT 99: Also, repost of the team colors for the Female Commando posted earlier in Epic Moments:

The contrast on the male soldiers just seems too much...

The colors are very bright and bold and in your face in UT. I decided to go with it vs. the washed out kind of color of CC. For reference, here's some screens of UT99 team colors on different models: http://www.unrealtournament2003.com/utg ... ?screen=25 Male Soldier in Blue http://www.unrealtournament2003.com/utg ... ?screen=19 Female Soldier in Gold http://www.unrealtournament2003.com/utg ... ?screen=27 Female Soldier in Green http://www.unrealtournament2003.com/utg ... ?screen=16 Male Commando in Red

I'm guessing you're following the universal rule for female game characters: The less clothing there is, the more protection it gives
