The "new" slow motion hasn't changed since B18 (or somewhere around there). It currently works by delaying the entire sim. The old slow motion just stepped down the time between frames, but you could still aim/shoot/move at roughly normal speed, leading to incredible matrix action sequences.

Music slowdown still happens with one sim update per frame on, by the way.

Oh god, I miss this so much.

I heard somewhere it's Ctrl+2, but don't trust me. I don't remember where, and I don't feel like testing it.

You can still slow the game down, but slow-motion doesn't behave like it used to. Changed when Data got the new sound system.

Lowered DeltaTime gives very similar results to the old slowdown.

I miss how much faster and harder Cortex Command was.

You couldn't build invincible bases, you had to use the pre-made ones.
Also, actors could wear there way through any material. This sucked at the time, but meant that even infinite money didn't guarantee a win.

b14 was a great build. It was fast and great fun.
Cortex command is a slower game these days.

Unless it can be changed ingame, it ain't worth ♥♥♥♥.

Maybe you can convince Data to put the slow-mo back but as an extra feature or something, because it was awesome.
Or maybe tell him to allow DeltaTime editing via lua, so we can make slow-mo grenades and such.

I bet he could do both.

DeltaTime causes other problems, unfortunately. Glows get ridiculous strength, some things move faster than they should the camera doesn't track properly... The list goes on. As well, smooth slow-mo is unfortunately not at the top of Data's to-do list at this point, nor is it going to be any time in the near future. It's sort of a minor detail.

That sounds incredibly awesome.
ACTIVATE SLOWMO
Lights blur and bullets whiz past as the camera shakes like a thai hooker being ♥♥♥♥ by a shark as your rifle explodes with a cacophony of horror and your arms are blown off.

It'll get sigged by SOMEONE. I'm sure of this.

As for Data's priority list, I think some things need rearranging on it. Maybe not Delta Time, but other very important things that aren't very important.
