Post Gun shooting attaching engines.
I'd like to ask someone to make a gun that will shoot a sticky things, that, once attached to an actor/dropship/whatever-it-is-possible-to-attach-stuff-to will act as an always-on rocket thruster with maybe a hint of antigravity, so clones won't just plough into the ground and will start flying around at ever-increasing speeds, crushing into other clones/dropships/walls.
If it is possible, and someone actually will be willing to do it, I am not picky about sprites, so don't waste more time than needed.
Thanks in advance!

I don't even know what you are asking. Can you try to clarify?

He wants a gun that shoots an emitter that, when it hits an actor, attaches itself and begins to propel the actor. Probably best if you hit the target actor off center, so that it cartwheels.

We need one of those. Sounds like it'll take sparkle magic though.

Yep, that's what I want! :D

P.S. Phew, I was afraid I'll get an answer that will be something like "this is currently impossible".

You might want to check Kyred's Railroad Spike Launcher.

Yeah, I've seen that gun, and, while it's rather fun to play with for a while, it's not exactly what I want.

Errr... why do people even bother with mods? Because after a while filling people up with steel (or, more likely, with lead) gets a bit boring, and it seems more fun to turn someone into a gory paste instead of that.

And actualy I don't want them to stuck into ground as much as I want them to meet other people, face to face and guts to guts and dropships, face to engine.

Or... do you imply that I am a psycho of some sort, huh? :E Do you?!! NOW DO YOU?!! :E
In case you do, you, my good sir, is wrong. I am perfectly normal ork with perfectly understandable desire to kill all the humies messily, with as much bang as possible, and loot their corpses.

Well, I'm too closed at the old fashion way : steel (because it also includes throw
huge pieces of methalic trash into enemy faces), fire and acid ^^
grind up enemy for turning them into a paste = cook ...

Eh?! you must be at least so psycho-maniac as areku to be posting here! :P
anyways if you like brutally ways to crush enemys, we got many things to talk about ^^

As much as I'd like to continue this discussion, I am afraid we are breaking forum rules as our posts are essentially useless. :(

Guess I'll have to get by with my door-shooting gun for now, and dream that someone will make this thing I requested.

You mean a gun that fires engines that attach to actors and fling them across the map? That would be interesting.

viewtopic.php?f=61&t=16343
just take the shover and add "self.Vel = self.Vel+1
self.RotAngle = self.RotAngle + random # - random #" underneath "actor.Vel.Y = self.Vel.Y"

to the lua file
and make it so that instead of an MOPixel, the gun shoots an AEmitter that has the script attached & looks like the drop-ship engine.

Thanks, lafe, I'll try to do it, but it sounds too difficult for me currently, as I am _just_ figuring out how to make guns shoot what I want them to shoot. :/

And anything that has something to do with emitters is currently beyond me.
