Re: UniTec (B23_1.2.3)
I fail to see why the Drop pods health bar was hidden. It's not like it's supposed to be stealthy it's a friggin bullet shaped hollow chunk of metal plowing into the ground.

for fun, obviously. and a health bar on ships that are expendable by nature is almost redundant.

Re: UniTec (B23_1.2.3)
perhaps, but to me it just seems like an unnecessary addition to the coding (i cant code/mod/whatever for ♥♥♥♥ so I don't know how much is required though).
It's expendable and it lives for 7seconds max. To me, all that is needed is the thing to come down, be capable of ejecting to unit while not killing it. Plus, in prior versions I used the hp meter to decide on decent ejecting times since it loses hp rapidly.

If so (or not) then I think this is the original, otherwise could you have overwritten an old version of Unitec?

Re: UniTec (B23_1.2.3)
So i'm guessing that you can't buy actors unless you have them in Presets? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: UniTec (B23_1.2.3)
I hate the presets. The names make it seem like they're human enough to make it immoral to recycle them after each use, couple that with troopers armed with every single one of the weapons I don't use and you get a thoroughly crappy and unnecessary forced-torture in a box with an almost awesome mod, ruined by the crappiness of PRESETS.

Re: UniTec (B23_1.2.3)
I really like the presets. You can modify them with any amount of weapons you want and so I'm able to create my commando's, snipers, and foot soldiers. Its really nice and I don't see why you don't like them. Honestly it really sucks to scroll through all the weapons and buy them and the actors. It much more efficient.

Great thing he provided you a special Index.ini which you can just copy the contents of over the normal Index.ini. Zero thinking required, about 5 seconds of time taken. It's not like anyone's forcing you to use the Presets.

If he would have, the Drop Crate would deliver its cargo at the top of the screen. Gotcha! wrote: @Sparx: You say other people experience it too? I wouldn't know why setting the character height would have any side effects, but I'll test it and revert to the old situation if needed. The current value character height makes it think its touching the ground when its at the top of the screen (not only does it extend the height upwards, but downwards aswell), so it opens the doors and your investment goes 'splat'.

ITT people who do not know how the game works present speculation as fact on how the game actually does work.

WRONG. Character Height just makes the AI think the actor is way above when really, it's on the ground. And it effects the location of the HP bar. And there's another value that controls where the doors are.

Re: UniTec (B23_1.2.3)
And it makes the actor pick up weapons far away, if set to ridiculous heights.
