Cortex Command RPG
Inspired by Zalo's Cash 4 Kills I decided to implement my old dream - RPG in the world of Cortex Command! Everything's simple, enable script in mod manager, start receiving exp for every frag! Exp gained for each enemy is equally distributed among all your soldiers. You get even more exp if you kill experienced soldiers of other player (if he has RPG brain too to manage his experience)!!! Exp gives levels. Levels give health regeneration. Every new level costs 50 exp. Max level is 9. Updated: Mar, 28, 2015 - B31 support Updated: Jan 03, 2011 - Added another RPG brain which also gives some gold for frags Updated: Jan 01, 2011 - Nice level indicators made for Unmapped Lands by MaximDude- No more gold for frags Updated: Aug 21, 2009 - Better level-up, heal and experience gain indication - Twice faster level-ups BUILD 31 ONLY VERSION. NO NEED TO PLACE A SPECIAL BRAIN, JUST ENABLE GLOBAL SCRIPT IN MOD MANAGER https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/174 ... 01.rte.zipCredits: Original Lua concept - ZaloPresetName trick - Mail2345, TheLastBananaSpritework - MaximDude

Re: [WIP] Concept: Cortex Command RPG
Your concept is perfect for this game. It gives a persistent value to the player character and makes you struggle more to survive. I have to say that this should be included in the real game as it would greatly balance out the importance of individual units as both prioritized targets (if they're enemies) and base defenders/shock troops (if they're allies).

Re: [WIP] Concept: Cortex Command RPG
I think I love you. o.o This is AWESOME. Uh... but I didn't notice my other troops levelling up. Does their exp get fed back to the brain or do they get levels too? I guess it doesn't help that you cant see the rank all the time because I might have missed it. Either way, truly great work guys. CBM02

Great job, gonna test soon. gtaiiilc wrote: weapon damage, speed, and reload upgrades would be awesome! Would be ♥♥♥♥ epic win. But sadly, isn't going to happen, atleast not untill we can use lua on attachables. (Possibly next build? )

Re: [WIP] Concept: Cortex Command RPG
I think that something like this should actually be incorporated into the main game. With CC's focus currently being on controlling single units, this is perfect.

If you had started this after the contest started, you should have developed this more and entered it. Ah well, pretty damn cool.

Re: [WIP] Concept: Cortex Command RPG
Man, if stuff like this was implemented in the Vanilla content, Cortex Command would have some cool RTS elements incorporated into all the action.

Re: [WIP] Concept: Cortex Command RPG
Another great idea put into realization. I thought weegee makes missions only, but guess I'm wrong in a good way. Main game implantation? Makes us care more for our soldiers, which is good.

Re: [WIP] Concept: Cortex Command RPG
@Thunder Toes: Not really. I only see two RTS elements so far; getting gold (in other games, mining or building units/structures that get resources), and a "Destroy The Other Brain" mission type, which is usually the objective in an RTS match.

Re: [WIP] Concept: Cortex Command RPG
The units are clones, you are not supposed to care for them for the very fact that they are expendable.

Re: [WIP] Concept: Cortex Command RPG
All of you seem to forget that CC is based on cannon fodder clones.
Mod idea? Amazing.
Incorporation into the game? Flies in the face of the entire setting.
