Do you think Cortex Command should use RGBA or the existing palette?

I have a problem... I don't like the current CC palette......

I was wondering if the DRL Devs could perhaps try using RGBA (Red, Green, Blue, Alpha (Transparancy)).

I think that if they could then the current sprites would look even better and there wouldn't be any pixelation or colour replacements. I have tried replacing "Base.rte/palette.bmp" with a custom palette and it works but the images look all weird.

So if you could use the whole RGBA instead of 256 then I for one would be very happy.

Impractical.
I would prefer a fast CC.

Search next time.
The game is intended to have color restrictions, as it is supposed to have a retro feel to it graphically. The palette is also used for a number of other reasons that you won't get into unless you start modding.
As well, it's not a particularly large factor, but full 32-bit color can in fact lag quite a bit. There is already 32-bit color in CC - glows. If you disable them, you'll notice a small performance increase.
