I have seen my share of online play and i can look you in the eye and say that it is possible to have a 1 on 1 battle ovr the net for free
it is a simple matter of creating a program in the game that connects 2 people over a direct link to each others computers.
it is basically a modified version of the remote desktop connection system
I have seen this done using C++ and i think it can be done with Lua if you look at it on a different level
So just look at it this way and if you have a problem

Tekguy, it is not going to happen. Somebody would have to host the servers to do this, and Data Realms has very little money. Data does not want to do multiplayer either.
