Well, not sure how many of you play Half-Life 2, but I sort of sat down and began to make bunker modules for Hammer (Level creator) and began building a 3D bunker. It relates to CC because, well, In Garry's Mod(Gmod for short yada yada.) there is a game mode that is side scrolling, and I'm not sure if its multiplayer or not, but if I'm able to make a sidescrollable map based on CC, it might be something. Who knows.

Here's the double door. All of it is pretty rough, but what would you think. Interested?

(Also, apologies if this is the wrong forum. It relates... but doesn't at the same time.)

It sounds cool.
Even though you can't dig terrain, I can assume you can make characters gib.
Right?

Terrain rape is definitely a feature of CC.

The door looks neat

Yeah, it's not going to be JUST like CC where you can dig anywhere, but I can make things destructable, definately. I could make the doors destructables, walls, and maybe certain areas for the actual terrain, like small layeres ontop of eachother, but that'd take a LOT of entities.

Also if I knew how to import textures, I'd overlay the bunker with CC textures, definately.

Sweet door, be better if it were destructible, hehe.

Now make a Coalition troop skin and a revolver launcher SWEP.

Make it kind of like Blocky destructibility.

So the ground is layered in Block entities, and when you destroy it,
it spawns another under it, to make it seem like it is filled volumetrically,
but they spawn procedurally as you dig through the ground.

Basically, more ground spawns as you dig through the ground.

You cant make even, rolling hills with blocks in the world editor.(It uses a map displacement for taking a single box, using displacements and vertexes to manipulate it into a certain form, like a smooth bump.) You can do, however, make about a 128x128x128 area cubed into smaller entities that are all singley destructable, but in reference, that'd be about 65 entities in a area as big as 6 foot cubed. The engine would rape itself in compiling and running the map, but I can make a test map to show you, or you can f'around in it.
