Not only would you probably sweat to death, but I cannot imagine that being at all comfortable while playing games.
I'm hoping beyond hope that that whole post was sarcasm.

Areku wrote: Pfft. You people actually spend money in those "cutting edge" headphones that you see in computer shops? That's just wasting cash. If you want good sound quality, you need to get the real stuff. And by real stuf I mean vietnam-war tank pilot helmets. Bought one for $50 on an antique shop, and it's the freakin' best headset I've ever had. Seriously. Plus, it looks really cool. please don't recommend audio equipment when you have no idea what you are talking about

Ahh, yes youtube. Collecting all the idiots in one place. And good point, 411570N3. Though that looks uncomfortable.

The ClamV2 wrote: Where can I get a U-229 to 2.5mm jack adaptor To put it simply, you can't. They are no longer produced, at least not anywhere near the place where I live. They are, although, surprisingly easy to make. You just need an eraser, three nails, some wire, a soldering iron and a lot of insulating tape. An Altoids tin can also helps. If you want, I can post some pictures of how I made mine. 411570N3 wrote: IT'S A TANK PILOT HELMET. HE DOESN'T NEED TO KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT. HE HAS A TANK PILOT HELMET. Thanks. Collecting old helmets is a hobby of mine.

I think you're kind of missing the entire point of this whole "I'm using a tank helmet instead of headphone". And Warman, have you updated all your drivers and checked for specific incompatibilities? Some pieces of hardware just won't run some things, even though it's just a usb headset.

I just want one for my own.

yeah it's cool to keep on a shelf or wear if roleplaying is your thing but it's not at all high-end Combat Vehicle Crewmen helmets, and tanker helmets in general, have to be pretty high quality so the crew can hear each other. I wouldn't doubt it's better than the majority of ♥♥♥♥ in a best buy, possibly on par with sennheisers.

Re: I bought a G35 headset... and it's kind of rubbish
Why the hell would the helmet have a good microphone if the sound quality was ♥♥♥♥? All members in a combat vehicle would be wearing the same model CVC, your logic is flawed.
