Yeah, it probably is more complicated to make it an "epic" arrival.

Anyhow, I have equally epic planning for the Sister Ray:

Basically: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7rqhAcP8lw

This will take some fun Sparkle Magic and a lot of frames of animation on my part, but the visual I have in my head is awesome.
I'm also thinking that anything the beam hits could be covered in particles that have a delayed explosion, like capnbubs' laser rifle for the crobos.

You would need some sort of ablative Carbon plating to resist the heat of atmospheric entry.
You'd need to either have it so:
A: When he lands the armour simply explodes off and leaves behind a huge cloud of smoke.
B: Have him in a sort of 'case', and when he lands an animation plays which shows him getting up.

Carbon plating? Not a problem at all, in CC you can coat it with unobtainium-invinciblium alloy, and paint it Dummy orange, blackened at the feet maybe.

And for the burst open, I'd go for A. It's a good idea, easier to do, and looks cool.

Something like that, or a recreation of the charge effect shown in the video.

could build a Dummy Pod for it (harvest the dummy rocket, take off feet..)

here's an idea on how it could enter. (sorry if it's too big)

It IS the brainbot.
If you choose to use it as such, if not then it's just a hulk.

It won't work that way I think, as when the behemoth dies, you lose (since it's a brain, and even if a brain unit jumps out of it, it will still count as a failure.

Theres a little witty proccess called CODING!Make it like in AAL mod,whe craft dies the pilot is ejected in small pod(instead the brain is evcauated in space by a small rocket.!

There's also a little thing called knowing what you're talking about.

When a brain unit dies, you lose. So, if your behemoth is a brain unit, when it dies, you lose.

Now if you had said to make it like mail's vehicles and put a brain unit somewhere outside the map that popped out on destruction of the Behemoth, then it might've worked. Oh, and the Behemoth couldn't be a brain unit anymore, if you were to do it that way.
