They look very aerodynamic. It would be easy to put a little thruster on the bottom of it and say 'this is how it can fly'.

   |   Re: So, official orders from devsJetpacks for ACrabs make them decently mobile, but without the upright constraints AHumans have, they aren't as easily controlled in flight as an AHuman.

Another thing that sucks about the dreadnought is the way AimRange is handled; it's not relative to the rotation of the actor. But that's not a matter of content development, so I suppose it doesn't go here.

If data wants to have some kind of diversity with units, he should have thought of something else. Crab units serve no purpose. They are slow, lumbering, handicapped units that are easy to kill. Giving them a jetpack, they just become impossible to control missiles.

   |   Re: So, official orders from devsWhat makes crab units so useless is the flawed design of the base.
 Its way too small.
If the dreadnaught's base was wider, it would allow him to actually stand and not tilt all the time.
And the legs need to be longer, making the unit taller and preventing the 'stuck on 1 pixel' issue.

   |   Re: So, official orders from devsAdding rotation thrusters (only active when jetpack is active) to ACrabs would make their jetpacks less useless. But then they'd be like ARockets with legs.

   |   Re: So, official orders from devsThe mega crab has those features; and it still 'trips' on even flat concrete.
It's either a problem with the limbpaths, or a problem inherent in the way Data has made ACrabs' quadrupedal movement without upright constraints.

I'm not saying that ACrabs should have upright constraints, I actually think that would ruin them, but maybe they're based on AHumans, which need upright constraints to walk well at all.

Duh, ACRockets have legs. They just don't have walking limbpaths.
 Hmm...

Did Prom designed the units, or did Data did? Though the dready has to be a Prom design, so unless Prom approve to scrap the original dready design, this may not come any soon. Even adding a jetpack to a dready would need Prom's approve I guess. Anyway, I have to agree with Thor. ACrabs are...well, they do add diversity to unit appearance, but in terms of function they are inferior to the AHumans in every single way. There is nearly, well literally, not one situation where the ACrab design shows advantages over an AHuman.

   |   Re: So, official orders from devsActually, the C in ACRocket stands for Craft, not Crab, Azukki.
 ACDropship, ACRocket.

The dropship is not a crab. A+ though.
