Don't push it too far. Drop the shoulder pads, leave it as it is. Make a skeleton version of it, and the version you have now should be the armored version.

Those shoulders aren't made of gibs and the rest are, so they stick out and look stupid because they aren't covered in dents and scratches

Re: My newest WIP...The Dummy Behemoth.
The original shoulders made it look like a huge Dummy.
But only a scaled-up Dummy. Certainly not a Behemoth. 'Behemoth' implies that the unit is gonna be a walking tank, and frankly, the new WTF shoulders make it look much beefier and bulkier than the relatively frail original shoulders.
Oddly enough (and slightly off-topic), this past week or so, I've been playing through RE3, which features a recurring enemy/boss called Nemesis (also featured in the movie adaption, Resident Evil Apocalypse), who is more less this 10 foot tall Hulk-like creature that loves playing with rocket launchers. The WTF shoulders reminded me of him. Keep them, but work on them. The Dreadnaught tops are a decent base but they don't fit in with the Frankenstein look. Flatten out the bulging top and spread them out more at the base, add in some dents or scratches, and you're all set.
EDIT: And awesome job on the new lengthened legs. I went all ":D" seeing them there, basking in their glory.

I may just try scaling up the original shoulders, since people seem to like the look of the original with it's scrapiness, but others like the hugeness of the WTF ones. Little A little B. As for the legs, I did nothing to them lengthwise. I added a kneepad from the same gib the chest came from, as well as scale down the elbow sphere to make it appear as if the legs grew as the proportions balanced. If you didn't notice that then I'm pretty sure I did a good job without having to redo the legs.

Yeah, the intention is to have a skeleton visible when the Behemoth has been significantly damaged and guts show, not as the main look.

We all love breaking stuff. Hopefully when I'm done with this he'll be more on the "doing the breaking" end of things, though.

Re: My newest WIP...The Dummy Behemoth.
@LFOW: Huh. Well, the legs look much better in any case, so nice job on 'em. Can't wait until everyone has the chance to yell "HULK SMASH" and scatter blood and sinew everywhere with those giant fists, then fire them both at an advancing cruise missile.
Anti-Air, Anti-Ground, Anti-Clown, the Behemoth does it all!

Re: My newest WIP...The Dummy Behemoth.
This looks promishing I cant wait to see this monster in action. Just the thought of this thing charging at my bunke smashing through rockets, drop, ships, bullets, and doors. Slaughtering all my units, then curb stomp my brain to death. Like I said cant wait to see how this turns out.

zeno: Wouldn't you rather be the Behemoth? Why would you want to fight it? I mean, it would make for an epic boss battle, but it wouldn't be unbeatable.

This thing should resist amrobotic's flying fortress's weaponry.

After the mod contest is over, this will probably get finished.
