Spriting objects at a perspective is somewhat of a difficulty, but with practice, as with most spriting, you'll get better at it.

Generally, according to the dimensions you've described, the vertical scale should generally be the same while the horizontal scale is generally distorted.

I suggest trying to draw simple polygons at different angles for practice, like a cube.

One key thing to remember about your sprites is to keep your lighting fixed. So no source lights coming from odd angles at every frame.

How do you even plan to get that plane to properly animate turning around? I mean, for all purposes of gameplay, as soon as you start the action of "turning around" CC has already flipped your actor.

Do you plan on having the plane delay actually being flipped while it's animating? That's the only solution that comes to mind that wouldn't feel awkward, though it does create a pretty big problem in terms of being vulnerable to attack from behind, since it would take longer to flip directions.

As an aside, I'm just taking a wild shot in the dark here, but is this for your contest entry?

Well my original concept for the plane involved animating as it turned, and I could actually do that; I'm just far too lazy.

Basically just determine how far it's rotated, then set a frame based on where on an imaginary circle the rotation is pointing to.

I've been fairly dead CC modding wise, but my creative flair needs an outlet, so I've been doing some drawings in paint.

Here's how I deal with perspective/funny angles.

Pick some colours that are bright, but you won't use. lime green, hot pink, murky blue are good.

Draw up some axii! have the length of the plane as one line, then try and get the horizontal 'width' to fit that.
I advise always making up and down the same: a vertical line.

When you're drawing up, use these lines. a flat top to a tail will be parallel to the central axis. vertical edges will be parallel to the vertical axis. Wings will maintain equal distances to the width axis, etc.
