All I know is that the '/' need to become '\' or something. Finally, cat bread...

you are a moron and should be shot for breaking every mod ever for every mac player who reads that post and believes it. \ doesnt work. / does. therefore, EVERY PATH WOULD BE BROKEN! =.= THAT STUPID MENUENTER.WAV ERROR DIALOGUE WOULD ACTUALLY BE RIGHT FOR ONCE!
command+H some \ to /, mac users. shun foa and his heretic ways. it should work on mac though, unless darlos has turned to the dark side and started using \, which is just so backwards.

EDIT ^.^ i searched through the problem and fixed it/ first thing i did was go to base.rte and copied null then changed the name to Null and moved it to the darkstorm.rte then i went in the index ini and changed line 42 [Railgun] to [RailGun] lolz. 2 different fixes but it works now oh and a question. these actors and guns arnt overpowered are they? EDIT: these guys are severly overpowered. i mean 180 for a almost non breakabl guy and a super long slectro sniper gun? whats with the deals anyways 180funds for a 460 value? thats kinda cheap. if you dont want to can you show me how to up the price of these actors? or maybe delete the ones with guns or "values"

Hiya I was wondering why you can buy a Minigun Shogun [equipped with a D33 Minigun] for 180oz but to buy a D33 Minigun by itself is 250oz.
Whats the catch?

Whats the catch? I assume it only lists the price for the clone itself. It'll take the combined total away. And the D33 minigun can only picked up by that unit itself. So buying one is useless.

What do you mean by "I assume it only lists the price for the clone itself. It'll take the combined total away." Anyways if you buy one from the "Bombs" section, anyone can use it [but its not really worth 200] Thats what I don't get. Why is the gun way more expensive than an actor and a gun when its only advantages are that everybody can wield it?

No, the gun has code that makes it unpickable when anything but a shogun is near. Here is a flaw: Get a minigun shogun close the the gun. Get another unit close to the gun, but not as close as the shogun. Pick up minigun.

If you want lower prices, why not just do it yourself? Go to the code and change the goldvalue.
Also; a Shogun costs 180oz. The gun you get for each shogun adds on to the total cost. Look at each description of the Shoguns; near the end it will say "Total cost" and give an amount. That's what's meant by "I assume it only lists the price for the clone itself. It'll take the combined total away."

Re: DarkStorm Military Technologies - Updated 6/11/09
In the last update, I based my prices off of the prices of similar vanilla content. My minigun isn't going to be any less expensive than the coalition gatling gun, because that wouldn't really make sense since the minigun has more ammo and I think fires faster.
So my prices probably aren't going to change until vanilla prices do. You have to consider that what this faction presents to you isn't run-of-the-mill kick-around weapons. They're finely tuned specialty weapons, intended for the utmost reliability in sensitive situations and special operations. Same goes for actors, craft, tools, and anything else. It's going to all be more expensive.
Something to note is that I actually never intended for this faction to completely replace any other faction. I imagined something more along the lines of there being one shinobi or shogun around for every 6-10 normal vanilla units (not counting the browncoats). Also, aside from the shogun weapons, I never intended for darkstorm weapons to only be used by darkstorm units. Like the initial advertisement for my mod says, my stuff is intended to supplement and round out your forces, not replace them entirely.

No, the guns do not add on to the total cost the price of the shogun and the gun are the same as the price list. Thanks for telling me how to change prices though. I'll just raise the shoguns prices a bit and lower the prices of the weapons to balance out this mod to the original cortex command content
