Post idea; Mod wars
what if we started making mods and had an interconecting plot of alligences behind them, and code it so that some factions cant use other factions weapons and such, and had them fight, but kept some restrictions on rate of fire, and gibwound limet and health and sharpness and such, i think it would be fun, what about you guys. and before anyone says "you ♥♥♥hole, this is the stupedest idea ever" im just getting it out there.

I probably forgot about those.
Those were the 0 division bomb of the old days.

But I think lafe means whole factions, so those wouldn't count.

Right now the 40k factions are doing the exact same thing. Though many would agree that the balance between each faction(paper Space Marines for example) ain't good at all.

Actually, it's not that the balance isn't good, it's that it doesn't exist. My Guardies and Allstone's Tau are balanced according to the codices, while the Space Marines, Orks and Necrons are just... there. They're not balanced even against each other, like Ork Gothic claims.

Using the existing mod factions would suffice.
Right now players can do a skirmish match and agree not to use anything else.

As for faction based vs. missions, a new module something like ZFactionMissions.rte (Z, so it loads as the last rte.) where all the missions will be made in and they reference content from other factions and provide activities for skirmish.

All this would managed by a single ini file which the user could modify by commenting out parts that have a faction he doesnt have or just doesnt want load and play with at that time.
