I found a major flaw with this map. There's an easy way to beat it, with vanilla content only.


Buy a heavy digger, a revolver cannon, and 1 weapon of your choosing. Buy them in a Dummy dropship, set it to STAY. Equip them on your brain actor, and load BACK INTO the dropship. Fly to the top of the map and STOP. do not go off the top. Fly left, slow down when your dropship lines up with the BG (thats about the halfway point) Start slowing down, so you don't crash into the top of the dummy base. Drop off and STAY. Use the heavy digger to get into the top of the base. use the revolver cannon to kill the brain and the 'surprise' dreadnought.open the doors, kill the sentry dummies, kill the 2nd brain. you can do this before any of the spawns get up top to come down on you. clear the base from the top down with whatever guns you want. Wait out the bombing. climb to the top. get in the dropship (you might have to buy a new one after the bombing. i've gotten lucky to where every bomb missed it)

(sorry if theres bad grammar, I made this as a list, then realized it was really long, and just crammed it together with little thought.)




There is a very VERY simple way to fix this major flaw in design.

Add 2 dummies on top of the base just hanging out, with maybe rail pistols. you know, something stupid that can take out a dropship before you can drop anything off. maybe sniper rifles but they have a habit of missing moving targets. obviously the digging under the base plan doesn't make it any easier though because you still need to go up through the base to get to the brains. in that respect this map LACKS the flaw that most other maps have. one other flaw is where the 'surprise dreadnoughts' spawn. the map needs to be about 1 bunker module wider so that the doors don't go nowhere. maybe add some tunnels or something. right now if you shoot them with a heavy enough gun (revolver cannon for instance) they can just fall off the side of the map.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of to make this map any better is adding new bombs for the orbital bombardment. IE new sprites and change how they work. another thing would be custom bunker modules. Newer, easier to understand and read text would also be nice. and lastly, themed music for the different events would make this on par 100% with vanilla content. I'd be willing to make some music for you, but... I'm moving in a few days and don't know when i'll have internet back.

I think you need to put in dreadnoughts to fill the empty spaces in the map.
The roof, the bottom right of the bunker, those kind of places.

yes but you can fix it by adding 2 people to the rooftop with guns, you can't dig under this base because you still have to go up to reach the brains. please, read the entire post. placing 2 more actors makes the heavy digger through the base trick not work anymore.

This is my point. I did read the entire post, but I only really had to read what you just typed. You just paraphrased yourself properly. What I just quoted could've been your post.

Add two guys here, and diggers don't allow an exploit. Bam, boom, done.

Ok, I'll add some dummies to the roof, but actually you can easily dig everyone on the roof with heavy digger. Or smash them with the ship. Or even kidnap somebody and gain additional 500 oz of gold :) I was able to kidnap dummies from the front, while they were shooting at my Drop Ship MK1. Couple of holes, but I was alive and profitable. You can even buy three (to skip reloading delays) clones with rocket launchers and kill almost everybody without spawning a single dummy dropship. Actually there is a lanidng zone on the roof, and it triggers as soon as you land there.

I finished dummy twins after 5 attempts. :D
First I bought 3 heavy coalition guys with auto shotguns and heavy diggers.
Then i flew all of them on to the roof of the dummy base
Then i got 2 of them to protect my brain while 1 dug down to each brain
then i used another one of my guards to dig onto each defender in the top 3 window thingys
then i used my third guy to give a digger to my brain who dug a burrow under the bottom brain to defend himself from the bombs which worked well :D
Then i bravely flew my brain across the dummy dropship filled air only destroying 1 with his might backside :D
and he succesfully got into the dropship and escaped

This mission is awesome

In the scene editor can't you change where you can order ships?
Like in the missions, you can't order a ship anywhere you want.

This isn't that hard with Shook's pack.

SPOILER ALERT: Super-cheap way to beat this.

Shiny robot with Annal kannoon, unirape laser, and (my)(unreleased) autorifle with 3 projectiles launched each round. This attacking the base

Amrobotics' new flying fortress protecting the brain robot

:D super-cheap, yay!
