I can reproduce photoshop effects in mspaint No, they do matter, but you are right in that they don't make the talent. They simply enhance the talent that is there. More advanced programs, such as photoshop, do allow for a lot of advanced effects much more easily produced than in MSpaint. For things like blurring and feathering we're talking a LOT of saved time. I can reproduce dishwasher results with a rag and some soap...but I'll let you guess which one is easier.
