Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
Just as long as it's slightly darker than the surrounds it should be the effect I think you could be going for.

Ok, is this better? Also, to 1nfernal and GISMO... Wingwolf said she might keep working on those Guardies, so I wouldn't knonck them down so quickly If I were you.

That's pretty good. I'd make the light come from a bit higher though... but you don't really have to: it's a large amount of work for smallish benefit. Though you might want to do that later. Anyway, if you're out of colours to shade with, remember: dithering is your friend.

Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
As in, increase the lighter area? Or reverse it upside down, so that more of it is lighter at the top and less at the bottom?

Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
At the moment, due to the way you've shaded, it appear that the light source is around the mid-to-top right. I was suggesting moving it more to the left and slightly up, but it's quite minor.

IE, make highlights for green with a bright yellow or even brighter blue or shade green with a dark brown. Remember kids: You are never out colors, you just don't use them (My motto for shading).

Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
Not too bad, try darkening the bottom right and lightening the top left a bit. It's looking pretty good though.

Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
Looks good, I suggest adding some highlights in yellow. Here's an example of what I meant: You won't find natural light on a green surface green, it'll lean more towards bright yellow/white.

Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
The problem is that I can't make it too dark on the bottom-right, because it has that trapezoid-like shape, so the light should fall equally at the top and bottom of a well-lit area. [edit:] Like this?

Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
The IG need bunkers, trenches and hangars, right? I think this mod won't be complete without those, so I'll think about how they should look. Suggestions on what modules I should make are always welcome, as usual.

Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
Well, I'd mainly focus on the guardsmen right now. The trenches are not essential, but they'd be a nice addition.

Re: Imperial Guard. Still WIP.
Actually, I'm focusing on spriting right now. That'll give me a list of things that need to be done. So if anyone wants anything specific (besides what will be included anyways), now's the time to say it.
