Very nice tank. decent armor even against AAL stuff (like others said, add some attachable armor plating, maybe only at the front?), but the turret isnt behaving properly on the body; if the tank climb a slope, the turret always keep the same ability to move as if it was on level ground.
And that also mean the tanks isnt much use against aerial targets; turret have little firing angle.
It would b nice if the shots were more powerfull, more kick.

the thing with the turret is caused by an bug in CC, i want it fixed damnit. basically, i have the aiming angle limited for the sake of making it ineffective against air (a good balancing tactic) but it makes it look stupid on slopes. so i'll just hope that its fixed in B23, because i have no control over that. if it were fixed, the tank could be used as artillery if it were on a slope, which would be cool.
i wont be upping the power very much on it; i want to keep in balanced-ish with the vanilla content. the fact that it can kill a rocket in 1-2 shots means it has enough power in my eyes :P

Although it can kill any craft in one hit, I failed to kill a normal drone with 2 hits. I think using rockets as the ammunition of a tank cannon is wrong. Its should be more like the revolver cannon, a high mass projectile that also explodes on impact.

Plus, tanks usually have machineguns on them. Couldn't you do "next weapon" instead of "buy menu"?

Great work anyway. The tank is impervious to anything, except when crashing into a rocket in mid-air. Took short work of my tank in a jizz.

as of now i dont have any control over the pie menu, so i cant make a "next weapon" option until the next build, where i'll add in an anti-infantry machine gun. also yeah, the only things that should one hit the tank are really high mass things at generous speed (eg a rocket falling out of the sky onto you, the huge dropship gib, ypsilon cannon), its been made to take a lot of fire from everything else.
i'll do a bit of work on this once build 23 is out.

so how long does this kind of thing take to update? I really wanna see this thing working, it has some fairly decent sprites, and it seems like people like it.

One thing I'd change about this mod, though, is to make the main cannon a fair amount more powerful. It seems laughably weak when you consider the size of the unit.

I'm kinda bothered by the fact that when the tank rotates, the cannon angles don't change accordingly. You can't totally fix that with Lua, but what you could do is update the arc in which the cannon can fire, even if the cannon can turn beyond it.

It's just weird to be going up a hill and not be able to actually fire up the hill.

i figured that since this worked with B23 (as in, im using it now with no issues) and i was preoccupied with the hilarity of last night, i forgot to post that i wont update for a bit, until i can get what darlos is taking about working, cause its been bugging me too.
also, i might make the explosion more powerful, though i kind of like it as is. it still allows you to rape just about any vanilla unit happily. i might make the rockets use lift rather than gaccs, but thats about it.
i really need to get zombies out, so this is kinda on the backburner.
