Right now this has to be my favorite faction mod. I love the point defense thing, and the ability to deploy turrets during battle is both a really cool idea and implemented very well. I only have a few criticisms, such as that with the Pyro Shogun, the fire looks sort of cartoony and out of place in CC (though I do like the idea of having enemies burn), and the electrolaser is now kind of boring, being just an instant kill. It might be better if you added an electric effect when they die, or made the shot itself look like more than it is currently. I do like the new flying saucer ship, but I think it should be an addition to rather than a replacement for the old ship, maybe being more expensive, as you can hold more things in it. Overall, though, this is an excellent mod.

The Pyro is still flammable, he is not immune to the fire spreading to him if he stands to close to an actor on fire.

Also, Its hilarious when the Minigun Shogun is shouting and laughing over the roar of his weapon, kind of like the TF2 Heavy

I saw that on First Signs, I loved it. Darlos, you should add those kind of little quirks to the Shinobi as well.

Shouting and Laughing is not something a well trained and braindead, as all clones technically are, soldier should do. I doubt a brain unit would be that badly disciplined either.

Personally, I think of the DarkStorms as less of just braindead clones, and more of independant merecenaries who kick large amounts of arse.
Or maybe the brain just enjoys a good game of TF2 and since it controls the clones, it can have them laugh maniacally if it wants.

Hmm. Maybe they just get caught up in the adrenaline of the moment. Besides, I would certainly laugh maniacally if I was shooting crabs with a minigun.

I notice that the Point defense shield is ineffective against anything that isn't going straight at it. Is there a way to make it so that it protects other objects?

Its funny how the point defense sometimes cant shoot through his own shield.

Yeah crashing sucks.

Whats missing to make me use only DS things i wonder....A DS Brain...and a DS digging tool, pritty much all i'd use.

A reasonable digging tool, like maybe buffed up without being, "omg i destroyed there base with just my digger :D" maybe a Heavy Digger or so, yet light weight cause DS are just uber.

Nah, it needs to be stronger. And have a bigger ammo cap. Because Darkstorm is just overpowered, but only JUST.

Agreed, i still get owned every so often by the smallish drone armies, yet usually I still have alot of money left over.

Bigger ammo stronger but not to strong, I just wouldn't want what well, use the Tek mod for example, there digger was like..Woosh, huge laser radius thing, it barely collected gold either.
Problems with the digger being to big is that it becomes a uber weapon, or starts to backfire on your own stuff.

It should be light weight as well as good, thats what makes DS cool, you're holding huge ass weapons of evil...but we can still fly about and carry them.

Oh and...DS Medic! I just remembered (reading your post) that acassionally my brain will be pouring juices out and dieing and I do need some thing to heal it...
Those crab droid things tend to such though, I wonder what a DS improvement would be of a medic..thingie.
