Um, isn't the ground ect bad as it is?

You call it all unique, particles every where woo but when walking destroys concrete you know you have a problem, heck when walking destroys solid ground you generally know you have a problem as well.

I know most of you think that multiplayer can't work because of things like the mass physics going on but really theres alot of physics that is being overused and unneeded. When I walk I dont want to see loads of physics happening at my feet, I want to walk.

Or...maybe i just don't like how soft the ground/concrete/everything is.

Dude, stop complaining. If you don't like the game, don't play it. Actually, you're behaving exactly like my 'friend', a professional troll, said one should act to start a flame war.

Die thread, die die die DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!
Stop posting these, multiplayer people, come back when Data makes another game that's meant to be put online in the first place.
Live multiplayer would be next to impossible to tack on as is. Bug LordTim or Daman to make a Lua-based tetris version, and STOP MAKING THESE ♥♥♥♥ TOPICS!

@Zerrock: The ground, etc, are indeed too soft. It's an ongoing balance problem that nobody wants to touch because they would have to rebalance the entire game. Sometime it should be done though.

But if you got rid of that CC wouldn't be anything that it stands for!

Stop making fudging comments that contradict the effulgent glory that is CC physics!

Ah, another person who can't read.

This thread was originally intended to discuss something other than just multiplayer. Everything that said was said (people hated the idea), and now it should die. OP has not bumped this thread at all. OP only posts in here when thread is at top of list for god knows what reason.

PLEASE STOP BLAMING OP FOR THIS THREAD. OP TRY VERY HARD TO MAKE THREAD DIE. LEAVE OP ALONE!

True, with the new builds coming out alot of old things become broke.

As much as i love alot of the player created content they eventually will have to be redone to fit game advancements.

@tons0phun: You misunderstood me, I didn't say get rid of it yet tone some of it down a little before we're even thinking about Multiplayer working.

Ah, it was no misunderstanding, I was just attempting to mimic some of the other forum-goers here through sarcasm.

I entirely agree with what you're saying though.
And to that extent, if there were a version of CC like this, I'd pay full-price for it.
This game is adequately fun, but it really shines through when you can play it with others.
And it's a real hassle trying to play with 4 people with one computer, even with a 24" monitor.
"Blah blah blah Windows LAN thing-a-majig" is not even comparably the same.
I'd rather see Data complete this game rather than be like, "It's close enough, and too much work to do anything more. So I'm just going to drop it now and start from scratch again!"

Now where have I heard that before. Seriously, are you so soft-hearted that anyone pointing at some detail that he/she thinks could use some improvement is a enemy of the state and has to leave DR-forums immediatly? Should the OP tread you with gloves and cotton wool now? Would that comfort you more?

Well, on the other site, tonsOphun, you cant seriously blame Data to develop CC only to be nearly MP-capable or something like that. It is clearly visible that Data and his staff actually do put effort in their Project and as it has been said before: Multiplayer may be nice, but is not a Priority. Content like Missions or even a Campaign, let alone stuff like balancing is far more important.

If youre complaining about the price, use Trialpay, bought myself a book that way that I longed for anyways. Good deal I think.

Definitely true...especially when you look at that "Look at how far..." thread by gtaiiilc.

But still...if it meant just having LAN capabilities, I would easily wait another decade and shell out $50. After Cortex Command is all finished, would Data be the kind of person to hand it on to anybody crazy enough to try to give it networking capabilities?

Post Re: Multiplayer Alternative
I'll summarize what has been said in this thread:

Multiplayer CC is only possible with:
Advancement in networking tech.
Advancement in compression.
ISPs stop abusing monopolies to earn money, and use them to benefit the customer, but that might only reduce the difficulty.
Using ♥♥♥♥ ugly compression settings(mm, 256 colors on 640 * 480).
Reduction of physics detail(as OP).
Reduction of data transfer(as in my idea of tetris sytle send blocks to the other guy when you make a combo and sync scores, btw lua can make this true, I'm just too lazy).

Now this needs a lock.
