COD4 Ghillie Suit Actor UPDATE[5/25]
Yeah. This is my first mod so forgive me if it's not cool or anything. I think it's cool.This is a re-sprite don't flame me of the Soldier Template and I just threw in a bit of Lua. I've been working on it all day so that I can try to learn Lua. I can't think of any name so I called him "Ghillie Suit Soldier". (sucks) I couldn't take an awesome screenshot of it shooting. I couldn't press Print Screen while crouching while aiming and shooting.Crouch down to become "invisible". Works best alone. And with a Heavy Sniper Rifle. If you move left and right, you are DETECTED. If you shoot, you are DETECTED.* *I know how to make yourself detected for 2 seconds when you shoot, it just somehow doesn't work. Anyway, I removed the code from it. EDIT: mail2345 fixed the 2 seconds thing. Thanks! I kinda of wanted to make the M21 Suppressed Rifle, but I kinda failed at doing it with the Gun Template, so I said "Screw it!" and gave up for now. Might try some other time. If anyone wants to give it a go however, the sprite and the sound is in the zip... Not to worry, though. It's only 1.35 MB. Please give me comments and suggestions so that I will be able to improve on my future mods. UPDATE: I made you invisble most of the time. When they look, and you're within range, you're visible. (As Flammablezombie requested). And I removed the flashing thing. It totally defeats the purpose of looking invisible. Still kinda glitchy, though.

When lua code does not work, it's a good idea to just comment it out so someone can fix it.
That aside, I found your stealth method interesting.
Of course there is the issue of your own guys coming close and shooting at you, but it works.
Anyway, I have a steath disabled for two seconds thing fix.
I would suggest having an effect or something to show it's stealthed

I think you should only be noticed when moving within a certain distance of an enemy, and even then, only when the enemy is facing you. Like in the game.

Eh, did you use the strings: UInputMan:MouseButtonPressed, UInputMan:MouseButtonHeld , UInputMan:KeyReleased, and UInputMan:KeyHeld?
If UInputMan:MouseButtonPressed(#) then *Insert Detect Code* Else If UInputMan:MouseButtonHeld(#) then *Insert Detect Code* Else If UInputMan:MouseButtonReleased(#) then *Start Timer* If Timer:IsPastSimMS(?) Then *Stop Timer* *Reset Timer* *Insert Invisible Code*
I doubt that this'd help you, but for real help, you may need to ask Grif or one of the two Lua Engineers.

Controllers tend to work better.
They work on *any* control set.

You listened to meh! YAAAAAY. I will now use this. But I thought they should be able to crouch and crawl outside of a certain range of enemy sight, this one can walk and still not be seen. That's like a tree running towards you and you not caring.

I checked it out, but whenever I tried to manually reload he picked up shields, diggers, and shovels out of thin air. A bit strange.

Besides determining where the health counter is supposed to appear, it also controls the reach within the character can pick up dropped stuff.

Holy ♥♥♥♥ it'd kill you to ask Data for a "REACHLENGTH" variable? What in the name of god does CHARHEIGHT have to do with HOW FAR AWAY YOU CAN REACH? They're seperate variables entirely. Only you are eastern european enough to combine variables like that.
