Kay. I am using CC Build 23 *Registered* and I am trying to load the UniTec mod. I have tried multible mods before this, and they all have not worked. I tried to use the change folder name trick but it has not worked either. Is there another way I can fix it? *I also noticed UniTec mod needed to be activated inside the index file. But I have done that.*

Nothing needs to be activated in UniTec after you install it. It should work.
Anyway, what errors are you having then?

Ya I am having troubles too i can make the mod but it wont load. There for it's not in the game.

@lawl: im not sure where you went wrong. when something doesnt work, just try again. go download the mod again. use winrar to open it. drag the folder that says whatever.rte into the cc folder (where base.rte etc. are) and it should work.

Yeah, I am doin it the same way I did for 21 and 22 and they all worked fine. Is there something new to it?

i dont think so. the only thing i can think to do is check for the obvious

make sure your mod folders in the right spot. make sure it ends with .rte...

how do i link the folder to show you?

Tith: You can upload it.
Look below the posting area to find where you can upload it.

If it isn't there, make sure you changed the instance names, and check the index.ini to make sure it link to the inis

i see it but what do i do to get in the post?
what do i click, and in what order?

Compress your .rte so it can be uploaded, zip, etc.
Right click and check to see that you have winzip, or something like that.

Look for the "Browse" button.
Click it.
Look for your mod's zip file.
Click it.
Click Ok.
Click "Add the file"
Submit your post!

if your CC loads fine, but the mod doesnt show up, try the following:
aside from that (in the event of errors and whatnot), try redownloading the mod.

I am trying to load rte. files in C:\Program Files\Data Realms\Cortex Command. however each time i try I get an error message.

cannot create folder...

also if i try to edit code I get the error make sure path and file name are correct.

This is my first attempt at modding so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

move the folder to your desktop. vista doesnt like CC being in program files.
we need a sticky about that.
