It doesn't mean either good or back, it just means they don't have many colours. As necrons don't have many colours in WH40k then this is good I suppose.

Go with gray on the actors, and some glowy green on the weapons... maybe glowing eyes?

I think everything here looks great, except their gun is a tad too wide. It just doesn't look like it does in the game, anyway, it has very welldone sprites, can't wait for them!

Was it just me or on DOW dark crusade did any one else paint the necrons bright pink just for the lulz when they one over the tau or chaos/any other race

I gave my 'skeleton-boyz' a gold colour scheme with some secondary blue and green. They looked cool.
