Re: Lua Guns -B23-
First off this is awesome, and Vortex has NEVER lagged for me so far even when sucking in dropships. I'm using a 3.12ghz Dual core if your wondering. Anyway, I can't seem to get the dropship to work like it should. Great work though.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
purty please make a pack of floating assault drones. And also, maybe find some way to make them be buyable as actors, not crafts?

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
Also oddly enough, even just firing the swarmers brings my fps from 155 with 1X time down to 4fps and 0.05x time untill the missiles finally explode. Could someone please explain WTF is happening?

I'm assuming this LUA guidance is why it has beyond line of sight guidance, as opposed to actor/weapon based guidance.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
I suggest moving the drone's missile turret to the bottom of its hull. The rockets have a nasty habit of hitting the drone when it's moving around or tilting sideways, which is pretty much whenever it's in flight.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
I don't really know why would the swarmer lag so much. It really shouldn't. The vortex uses the same tangent thing like 200 times a frame without a lot of lag. The missile drone is a bit bad, since it often kills itself. I've fixed that and made some different weapons for the drones. Especially a one with a coalition heavy sniper is great when defending your base in skirmish since it blows anything's head before they see it. I'll release them maybe today (GMT +2) when I get the drones gibs to look nice. Also, the turret can now be shot off. Big flying things with many turrets are unfeasible, since the way I attach these to their ships flips the turrets to the other side of the ship when the turrets turn to face the wrong way. There might be some workarounds but they either look ugly or I can't think of them. So no big castles for you.

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
I remember when I first mucked around with emitters I added two "Machineguns" to the hatches of the dropship, I had a stupid amount of fun with that - Can you give turrets more than one weapon now? I'm really gurning for a Spooky gunship setup! Gatling guns, Bofors, and the unforgettable 105mm Howitzer!

Re: Lua Guns -B23-
Maybe some sort of an turret tower with multiple turrets on top of each other? Like 3 gatlings and a revolver cannon hanging from the bottom of the DS from a long stick. That might look pretty cool.
