Post B23 Bugs, report the minor annoying things here.
Here you can post on what sucks and what is bad and anything else that should be fixed.

Heres a list of things I'm aware of so far:

-Moderate skirmish maps
-Acid shells/casings
-Poor bunker design at dummy assault
-More strength and better gun to dreadnough

-The Gatling Gun's winding sounds keep playing or
some other screwy thing if you switch weapons
while it's making the sound.

-MegaCrab digs into the ground too much, it needs foot atomgroups with more surface.

-Fire effects use too many glows, and too many sparks.

-Deepgroups on the flame ball MOSR particles exist, and the particles have deepcheck = 1

-Flatlands feels like it could use some grass in the train scene.

Thank you for your time on reporting these bugs! :)

(I don't remember what exactly I meant when I said this. But I had observed some glitches with the gatling gun sound)

the gatling gun shells cut into the ground, but i assume thats what you mean by acid casings.
the dummy nailer casings fall through the ground.
the fire effects use too many glows, and too many sparks.
the deepgroups on the flame ball MOSR particles exist, and the particles have deepcheck = 1, this is stupid. why should fire balls cut chunks out of the map? thats actually my main angrymake with the fire effects.
because of the huge gibwoundlimits on lots of guns, the one colour of MOPixel they are using stands out. for example, with the mega crab, the one colour of bone fragment mopixel makes swathes of one colour. either use lua to randomise the RGB a little (if possible) or include some different coloured pixels. same applies to drop oil and drop blood.
flatlands feels like it could use some grass in the train scene.
the skirmish maps have some gaps in the terrain, but then again your probably know that.
GLOBALACCSCALAR ON WEAPONS WITH INHERITSVELOCITY HASNT BEEN TWEAKED TO MAKE THEIR GRAVITY NORMAL! AHHHHHH
also: shotguns with low lifetime make me sad. just use some air resistance. the coalition shotguns rule though.
thats it so far, ill think of more though :)

Yeah but the content providers can do awesome stuff as well.
Also, another thing, Ant Hill is awesome, but it seems to have floating gold?

That's because the braincase is inside. Also prepare to be smacked by TLB. :P

Thats an issue Data didnt fix in time. He had to submit the build to PAX10 so he thought of doing so here aswell even though it wasnt fully polished.

It will be fixed later though so no worries.

Updated OP with suggestions, Geti has some really good eye there.

Okay, and in Richlands the AI doesn't seem to come? The kill count goes up? What the fudge?

Grrr. Data left that one unfixed too. Its a common issue with maps that dont have X Wrap(horizontal looping). The AI spawns somewhere where they are not supposed to. Like the edge of the map or even beyond.

Ahhh, so that's why the Bridgemaps don't work. :(
A shame though, I built the most strategic base, and the map looked really awesome.
Well, otherwise, Richlands seems like a good map. :D

oh, also, i think you can just use LZTeam2 or landing zone or something as an area to make the AI land in better spots. the console is complaining about them not being defined anyway.
also, the too much glow thing on the fire can probably be fixed by defining new copies of the flame MOSP and giving it a weaker glow (effectstartstrength[or whatever] = smaller number)
also, some real C4 sprites would be nice. and the C4 in general could use less fire spamming and more kick. it would be nice to be able to breach walls with them (maybe use some deepgroup stuff?), but im mostly concerned that they burn stuff rather than blasting it. maybe make the explosion more smokey, have some metal micro and tiny MOSPs, and as a nice aftertouch have a few smoking emitters that can lie about on the ground rather than fire everywhere. just an idea. look up C4 explosions on youtube and go with that :P

But I like the fire spamming.

Also the homing missile launcher seems to be too weak.

And I know this issue has been since the beginning of Cortex Command, but my robots turn around and shoot each other when there's someone behind them.
It's really annoying, they tend to kill more of my own than the enemy.

If you can suggest a good way to do it without having the sound be played by each emitter on the map, be my guest. An average flame explosion spawns about 10-20 emitters. I guess the only good idea would be to have a single special emitter with a sound.
