Post EDTools - Your every day tools!
EDTools, a 2 man corporation that makes tools. No I'm not just talking about 'firearms that are diggers or sprayers'. I'm talking about everything except guns, that's right, TOOLS that can be used to clean up your bunker, build defense, repair your bunker, etc etc.
I'm full of ideas right now, but I'm looking for a coder that knows offsets and stuff like that, because I don't want to make mods consisting entirely of resprites.
I can sprite abit, I can fetch sounds, and I can do the graphical parts of the mod (just the logo, and presenting the mod and stuff).

Will you join me for the holy quest, that is creating useful mods, for then you shall drink from the holy grail, that is having the fun of making mods.
If you're interrested, post in the thread or add me on Steam (war_man333) or MSN ( mathias_sn@hotmail.com)

That is all.
Now I'll start spriting for the first actor, CU-Bot01 (Clean Up bot :D)

TEAM!

war_man333
LucanC
shelleyerest

Please note, none of our units or tools are meant for offensive combat, they are meant as TOOLS and DEFENSIVE COMBAT.
Unit List
WALL-B01 - A rather bulky bot that creates walls of plasma. It is good for creating walls because it can also take alot of bullets. Can climb walls. Has a jetpack. Is not cheap.

REPAIR-B01 - Normal sized robot intended for repairing/cleaning up. It's good for repearing and cleaning because it's more agile than the WALL-B01. It's also cheap. It has a jetpack.

Tool List

R-DIRT01 Sprays acceptable amounts of dirt, efficient for covering dirt gaps in the ground. It has a medium clip, is cheap and light.
R-DIRT01 Sprays volatile amounts of dirt, efficient for covering big dirt holes in the ground. It has a large clip. However, it's not cheap, and it's slightly heavy.

I would help, but I would like to focus on finishing my own faction right now. Good idea though, CC needs more tools.

yeah but that kinda doesn't fulfill the 'offsets' part.

I did a 'WALLB01'.

The animation parts are done (for example the legs).
I just really need some guy to fix together this machine :v
I just can't do actors, but I can do weapons.

Uhh. I think? Well can you do some guns then?
Because right now LucanC's also added to the team.
Also, added a new actor.

The WallB01 looks really cool!
... I think I could do the offsets for it, if you need. Just don't ask me about walkpaths! :P

These look awesome! Wall-placers and dirt-sprayers have already been done, but what the hell. I'm sure you can find other interesting ideas than those. Sprites look great, too.

That crab NEEDS to have a weapon. It just does. Make it's tool harmful in some way.

Your sprites are actually very good, I'm interested to see how this pack turns out,

(sorry for this)

maybe in b23 the Lua will let you do stuff we haven't been able to do (properly) before, like fully repairing bunker modules.

Also, I'd love it if you made me a 'worm' digger: it digs a fairly decent sized hole, and self-seals it. so you dig the stones, gold and dirt and dirt comes out the back, and seals up your tunnel as you dig.

that would be brilliant.

Alright, but right now there isn't even an .rte, can you add me to steam, war_man333, or msn, mathias_sn@hotmail.com? That'd be grand.
And thanks for the comments everyone, I appreciate it.

I'm having a bit trouble regarding the shield placer, because CaveCricket already did one that's exactly like the one I want to make.
Either A) People download Cave Cricket's cool mod. B) I copy it 100% which would be the dumbest thing ever. C) I get Cave Cricket's permission to put it in the mod, and he gets credit.
Actually I'd choose C, but A would be much better, because more people should get that mod.

I love that robot thing, I would say I suck at actors, but then i've never tried anything short of a basic re-sprite, so..... I'm not gonna be able to be helpfull. But do PM me when its finished.
