Actually it'd hardcore rape your machine. Blame Windows. Go tile any gif and see how laggy it gets.

Works fine for me, find Zmatrix - I have no idea how it works, but it incorporates whatever your background is into the matrixy code thing.

I think Zmatrix works by turning your background into an html doc. So it's probably javascript being run from the html or something similar. Or it could just be replacing the background with something he wrote from scratch also with the big stretched page it is very satisfying to be typing and the scroll bar keeping up with your words as you go along.
