Actually, i think you're the only person other than me who has experienced that problem. On my laptop, the Abolishers rocket explodes instantly if fired right, though it flies normally when fired to the left. (Or was it reversed?)
Is that the kind of problem you're having?

@Geti: Hnng, i've never really liked the point of having one segment being thinner than the other, as people will instinctively go for the thin part. I'll see how it looks, though.

@Ragdollmaster: Well, if laziness translates to epicness in the other end, then this robot will surely make all other actors pale in comparison. =P
Frankly though, that's probably not what's going to happen. I hope it'll be decent, at least.

@Morbo: Kinda hard for me to do on such a small scale, though i guess i can try. (In like 2 weeks if i know myself right. >.>)

it doesnt look good from testing it on your sprite taking one pixel off, dont worry about it. it just usually looks good. the sprites do need to be a little grittier though, cutesy assault bot doesnt seem to be the spirit of this mod. at least add a little noise to the shading.

That's a pretty big lie right there. :V
If you shoot a heavy soldier in the top of his head, where the plates don't cover, it will most likely blow his head clean off. And if you shoot any of the smaller soldiers anywhere in the head, they're goner. Only the Assault Robot and MARS can 100% survive a Hammer shot to the head from any angle.

@Geti: Yup.

@Orglar: Bwargh, can't help you there, i'm afraid. ._.
The best solution would probably be to make the thruster not thrust the rocket, and instead just fire it out at great speed. Doesn't look as cool, though.

He's starting to look pretty good. The fun part about him is that his head doesn't tilt, it rotates.
Note that i've actually worked very little on him in the days between my last post and this. Just did some stuff today, as you can see. Previously he couldn't even be in the game. :U

Make the BG leg a bit more detailed, it's just one color =S I get you were going for a shadow effect, but it would look cooler if it had all the details as the front leg, just in darker shades.

Sorry mang, but it's staying how it is, to give it more ANRGY feel.

@Ragdollmaster: Oh, but it has all the details. Just hard to see because it's partly obscured by the front leg. But now that you say it, i see that it's missing those darker, horizontal lines. Better fix that, i guess.

@numgun: Wider badass stance? Check! :)

Probably ready for beta testing quite soon. I'm thinking about making a gun or two specifically for this guy, as he's fairly big, compared to the vanilla actors.

It's too thin, methinks. Make it bulkier, and have its head look as if it's being looked at from a three-quarter view rather than from the side.

The new assault robot has shown great potential in recent Beta phase testing. As an example, test #834 has shown that the Assault Robot is almost as adept as the MARS when it comes to eating nachos.

It compensates for a lower surface area and crushing power by being much more agile and easily manipulated in the air. And no, it doesn't have Terminator sounds :Y
