yeah uh your kinda wrong about the air elementalist. i couldnt even kill a bat! i kept on missing the bat with my "shock" spell then it came and killed me. i am positive you are lying about what you said about when you went down a couple of levels and one shotted ogres with shock. the level 1 shock spell can barley hit bats/trolls so how the hell can it hit ogres? it *might* hit them but you will waste your mana trying to do what minimal damage you can. you are lucky you even survived going down "a couple of levels" to fight the ogre in the first place.

edit: and i always get a miscast effect whenever i try to do anything. it sucks.

Got chased by another freaking caster. The only reason I ran was because they were being followed by a ridiculous amount of monsters who seemed more interested in taking me down for some reason.

I managed to escape by using a random scroll that happened to be a teleport scroll (awesome luck) and searching for stairs, but out of nowhere the caster just reapeared and blasted me apart.

I imagine that the scroll just didn't teleport me very far.

Oh, I am 100% a liar am I? Well, do you know how to bounce spells? No? Probably the reason you called me a liar. See, air spells and a few others bounce off of walls. By learning how to bounce properly, by which I mean having the same blast hit the enemy multiple times in the same turn, you can deal a shitton of damage and attacks before the enemy can even move a muscle. I usually get off anywhere from 3 to 9 hits. Highest I got was 13 and that was the ogre. Also, try picking a race that has decent abilities for air elementalism if you cannot figure out how to be a caster effectively that hard.

The only reason I think of for your spells to fizzle "whenever you try to do anything" is that you either equipped some armor before you raised your casting skills, or you equipped a two handed weapon.

Nevermind. I give up. Doesn't seem worth it to learn about it and the tutorial doesn't work.

Aspasia, i still dont believe you about the 13 time bounce on the ogre. the bounce thing is hard to use also. -.- and casters suck, except for ice ele's. they are ftw.

Casters are the most hardcore thing in the game. Also if you manage to bounce it in a hallway it'll bounce back and forth fast as ♥♥♥♥.

Bounce is not hard. I already made a slide of pics demonstrating how to bounce spells for the folks in the IRC. I don't think I should have to post it for you are doing nothing more than shouting me down to cover your ass. This game is the ultimate in trial and error, so learn to not run around the dungeon haphazardly, but rather to crawl.

Also, this is the billionth time you have said casters suck. From what you've said, you cannot find food or something and this seems to be your only reason. This is stupid seeing as one of the first things you learn from this game is to anticipate when you are about to be hungry again, and chop something up beforehand. Either find another arguing point on why the suck or accept that you are arguing for the sake of arguing.

Oh, and Wizards of Sif Muna are the way to go if you are gonna cast some spells brodude bro

I think Tucker is talking about the same thing as me here. Yeah, pretty much the thing moves faster than a bat riding a lightning bolt greased with cheetah blood, allowing to hit multiple times in one turn

well the reason i say casters "suck" is not because of food any more (i eventually figured out how to chop up a corpse and eat the meat) but because they are very weak at low levels (except if you know what your doing and in my case i have no effing clue) i mean as a deep elf fire ele, i cast flame tongue until i run out of mana. i usually miss the target/do no damage/miscast effect and then it comes and i run away (some times into another monster which sucks) i might just be choosing the wrong race and class combo but im pretty sure im not. my favorite caster race/class combo is a Merfolk Ice Ele. they pew pew like crazy.

casters dont suck, i suck. i was playing a caster but with a beserker mentality which fails within 1 second of entering the game.
