When I am tired of CC's vanilla music I usually play the music from C&C, C&C 2 and both Red alerts or the tracks from Crusader: No Remorse. They both fit amazingly. :)

LFOW included a song from UT99. I listen to that when I play CC.

I replaced the main menu and battle music with music from the Quake games, and replaced the win/lose themes with their Metal Slug equivalents.

Winamp will play .ogg, but you can convert with Audacity.

You need LAME to open mp3 with Audacity(due to patents).

Sure you do.. I guess I'm just crazy and I only think Audacity is playing .mp3's..

Then again it's perfectly possible that newer versions of Audacity don't do .mp3's, I do believe that I haven't updated it in like.. years.

You need the LAME encoder to EXPORT .mp3s.

You can open them just fine.

See now that I didn't know because to me .mp3's is like the jpeg of sound, ergo I've never tried to export as. My bad.

lame is an mp3 encoder, audacity can open mp3s without it just fine
and the patents only apply to commercial software (which audacity most certainly is not)

Ha.

Wrong. Patents apply in software algorithms to everything that uses the algorithm.

But about the open part, I was wrong.

Yeah, i disable music too, and play some death-metal (behemoth, gojira, wasp) while killing everybody, that's fun.
