Post Modding Help (Horizontal gibs for a bomb)
Essentially, what I'm trying to make a dropship that explodes on being triggered, and then lets loose a hail of bullets. The difference is that these bullets would have -1 lifetime (Essentially being infinite according to grif), and they would have to fly straight right to left, or left to right. This way, it acts as a sort of "Drop Ship Denial" area and would stop a atleast a few dropships from landing. The only problems with this is that
A) I don't know how to make a dropship gib bullets
B) I don't know how or if it's even possible to make them fly horizontally.
I'm assuming that zero or almost zero weight would allow the bullet to continue flying, but the above problems need some working out. Anyone know how to help me here? If any of this is confusing I could probably upload a picture of what I'm trying to do.

Pretty easy, actually. You'll only need to do one somewhat hard thing, that is make two one-off emitters. For whatever you're using as your bullets, set them to GlobalAccScalar = 0.1. Then, make a one-off AEmitter (guide) that emits half of the bullets and uses EmissionAngle = Matrix to emit either 180 or 0. Then, make another AEmitter that does the same thing, but at the other angle and add the first AEmitter to the emissions. Then, have your craft gib the second AEmitter with InheritsVel = 0.

Sure the GlobalAccScalar shouldn't be 0? Also, you only need one emitter, just emit some bullets with positive velocity and some with negitive velocity. :D

Well, now that I look at it I suppose so. I was going to put that but remembered that he was going to make lifetime infinite and didn't want to have bullets stay there, but now I see that's the point.
