   |   Dungeon Crawl Stone SoupDungeon Crawl Stone Soup is a roguelike that has become quite popular on IRC. Main objective is to retrieve the Orb of Zot or something. This is much easier said than done. This game is practically the definition of trial and error, not to mention the fact that luck plays a pretty big role. You will die a lot in the beginning until you figure out what does and doesn't work. This game is horribly addicting and fun.http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=204028 If you want the graphics set choose one of the files with "tiles" in its name etc Also, Thriller: EDIT: Xom finds this hilarious

   |   Re: Dungeon Crawl Stone SoupThey usually get stuck on corners and such. Worshiping a god that lets you recall your minions, like Yderelemnul, really helps out in this regard.

   |   Re: Dungeon Crawl Stone SoupUh. I'd best finish the important stuff before I start this..
It'd be better to get addicted later when I don't have to do things.

Save your game, copy your folder somewhere away, continue. If you die, replace your folder with the copied one. Do this every time you save the game, and save often.

   |   Re: Dungeon Crawl Stone SoupSo this is a crappy version of Nethack? Really?
I haven't played it yet, but it looks like any number of the shitty Nethack ripoffs.

What makes this any better than Nethack?
